hay :)) i was thinkin bout gettin a spoon N1 exaust for my ek9 , i wasnt really to pushed bout gettin an exhaust at all i was jus gonna leave the standard 1 on , but for the style i am goin for with the 9 it would jus be a shame to not put one on ,, anywho are they really that loud like ?? the cops round my way are not the worst bout mods there jus to lazy, its jus in other towns/citys they can be a pain in the ass and i dont wanna be gettin pulled every weekend and eventually have to take it off,i have watched a few vids on you-tube an they dont seem that loud really but i dunno advice :please: and :thanks: :ek9:

They are loud. Not massively loud, but loud enough that you'll get attention because of it.

From what you say about the police where you live, I'd go for it. For me, I'm running a Miracle Fireball and want to change to OEM just because of the amount of unwanted attention I get in London.. Make a judgement call man!

Oh, and If you do decide to change, can I get first refusal on your OEM system please mate?

miracle fireball louder than spoon n1? I have one with a decat, but never heard a n1 in person to compare.

i have an n1 with 4-1 and decat. its loud but not in a booming way if you know what i mean. if you drive normaly its not to bad. just ripps when on cam and letting off the throttle when att higher revs.

they are not as loud if you keep the cat on

I have a spoon 4 branch, spoon b pipe and spoon N1 and a dc decat.. Yes it does be fairly loud but it aint over the top.. When you in towns if you keep the revs down you wont get any attention.. It can be annoying when doing motorway driving after a long night on the drink and your head aint the best ...lol.... But I would still highly reccomend one as at higher revs it goes mental

sounds pretty good at top end just getting it there i think its a bit too loud if it where me id do one of the following-

run spoon back box with oem b pipe- i know for a fact it make it run quiter

get high flow cat- first off it improve the sound of the exhaust note makes it sound cleaner than de-cat and not as loud for motorway cruising etc

or if you are adament about running de-cat get a baffled sump

also have you considered the super street back box??

decat, baffled sump?? do you mean a baffled decat?

not to put u off mate but i cant hear the person next to me talk when im driving at 70 not all the N1's fault but i still think its not that loud!

I agree with that! :nice:

The race car vtec noise though imo is worth all the negatives! With OEM pipe and cat plus interior they are not too loud at all, but add full system in and de cat plus stripped out interior you've got race car noise levels.... :drive:

yeh i ment baffled de-cat ive got baffled sump on the brain :)) also ive been in a 9 with oem b pipe and spoon n1 sounded fine not too loud in the cabin at all

i dont think a manifold, decat, full system, striped inteior and ITB's really helps for a quiet car but the noise is fantastic!

get a full spoon system+mani+decat let it warm up go through a built up area take the car up to 6-7000rpm in 2nd and take your foot off the accelerator.... what a noise ! lol:p

The spoon n1 sounds great on vtec and not too loud at all when you drive easy. I have OEM B-pipe a baffled decat and a spoon n1 axle back and it sounds perfect.

I had a straight through decat with no baffles for a while and it sounded awfull when the backbox started to break in as it was brand new. I then switched to a baffled decat and the sound was great again, not rough sounding and very nice on the pipe:nice:

BTW the OEM B-pipe has a little extra silencer just before the backbox flange and think this helps keep the noise down

stepha conlons car man has the spoon n1 not sur if it from manifold or jus cat back?? with all the mugen carbon you have on your car would you not want a mugen exhaust and stick to the one theme??:)them alloys ya showed me man would look well with the carbon;)

im only lookin at exausts that will come last , themes wouldnt bother me jus whatever one gives of best proformance with not all the hassle of the cops but i no wha ya mean mugan everything , :)

about the alloys im defo goin for them , i was goin for spoon sw388s but there mad money, http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2028/1924829671_fcb6b9585c.jpg... an the ones showed ya are the very some only spoons are something like 1 lb weight difference an have a slightly better finish but ill be savein nearly 600 :ek9: :drive: :p
