Spoon EK9 Hi Comp B18C Track Car


You could get a custom made header but you will need to take it somewhere really good. If you get the header right you'll make a lot more than an extra 5hp, more like 20hp+ . Those tri y beasts will work the best. I'll have to speak to my mate who had that setup i was on about for you.

Small update what i've been up to since my return:angry2:

Steel wheel nuts (Looking for appropriate)
Team dynamic 1.2 (Done although its a second pair of slips)
New R888's (Can't find them anymore...)
Caps for intake (Waiting on Steven)
Tax disc holder (Done)
Holes in bumper for cooler air (Looking for template)
Re route headlamp looms
New Skunk2 camber arms (Welding buddyclubs up and having them repainted (Winter job))
KW coilovers V3 with high spring rates
75A Engine mounts
Stick on plate (Done small one due :naughty:)
Cut exhaust tip (Undecided)
Carbon mirrors (Spoons on order)
VTEC solonoid cover
New EBC Yellows front
New discs
And maybe replace the 4.785 FD for a 4.928...... (Think i will leave the 4.8)

Added 3mm wheel spacers (front only)
 
Sounds good mate. How come you only added the spacers at the front ? What is the purpose of them to if you don't mind me asking ? I havent got a clue about suspension and chassis lol.
 
Lovely New additions! as allways mate, Heard great things about the V3's will have to give us a good write up once you've taken them for a good spin! what spring rates have you gone for???

Firstly clearance as i don't like it being 1.6mm away form the rim. Secondly a wider track feels much nicer to drive with. I'm buy just a pair first and also try them on the rear but i fear iwon't be able to with out rolling my arches. I'm already running -1.75deg rear.

I haven't ordered them yet. Gona do that over the winter months. I need to enquire but i want 18/16k

Wider front track width

FWD cars respond well to running a wider front track, gives a much better turn in and reduces any understeer tendancies, obviously there is a limit though. hence the reason you get companies such as shift sport who produce wider fibreglass front wings to allow wider wheels under there

Also i think most of that list was possibly due to a certain bad influence in Germany :blabla:

p.s. will get the caps in the post soon, stupid busy at the moment with work and training :((

p.p.s if you are looking to upgrade the ignition of your car then i noticed that Hondata are now doing a bolt on coil per plug conversion for S300

p.p.p.s man up and trim that outward rolled tip off the exhaust, will look badass and less like a cheap Spoon copy :p

Managed to get a guy at work to make my spacers. 3mm Stainless thank you. :D Just got to finish the drawing off now...

No rush on the caps its just a tidy up. I need to post that drill and tap off.

Send a link to that ignition set...

I'm not sure it will look as good on my car chopped as it does on GT3 RS's :naughty:
 
ian i got muteki steel wheel nuts from eightspeed are just plain black only need to be tourqed to 80 aswel

How much mate? Was just gona order some more plain black steels from rarerims for £20
 
Either are a great upgrade of the weak standard coil!

Just hope my MSD external coil is worth the hassle, correct dizzy cap is on its way from the states at the moment, bar grannying it to a photoshoot i've not used my car since germany :(
 
This is one of my fav builds so much time and care been put into this with quality parts you, DV8 and gavs cars are immense love reading threads like this all the best mate
 
Why do you guys want to upgrade your ignition ? It won't benefit you unless your boosted and missfiring under boost. I'm running around 300bhp on stock ignition with my plugs gapped to .5mm with no problems. Honestly its not needed..
