Well, who would have known that? That seller was a liar.

He is not a liar, it was a negotiation point to me, an opportunity to get a better price on the DX. Look at it for what it is man, an imposteR.

how safe is the car in that parking garage building ?

What garage? lol
Very safe. A ton of other way more expensive cars as well.
If it goes missing oscar, im coming knocking at your door. lol

A EK9 replica is the best thing you can get to a real EK9 in USA. It doesn't matter if it's fake, a replica car of the real thing is still amazing because so much work and money was put into replicating it. Fake or Real in USA, true EK enthusiasts will praise them both.

I hear you, but the main reason for me getting this car is to break in B18C5 engines, as this is bared to have one in it legally, within California of all places.
Ill be its last owner...

Exactly, I have spent over 14k on mine..& I haven't even started on the swap...Damn it.. But I truely love my hatch & like Tama666 I will be the last owner...

I don't want to make you feel bad but the fact that you said GENUINE on parts like that when they are fake makes me so mad. For 5 years, I've been replicating my car into an EK9. Over those 5 years, I have carefully done many researches and inspections on real EK9 parts to tell difference from reals and fakes. The wing is fake because EK9 NEVER came with a THIRD BRAKE LIGHT. In fact, EK9 is one of the few cars in the world to not have a third brake light from the factory. The rear lip is fake because you can tell be 3 things: the main crease that strikes through the middle of the whole lip, the 2 curved edges right at the bottom of the lip, and the way the lip is tucked into the bumper because fake lips are not the same size as real ones (it's a bit smaller). These things may be hard to notice at first but I've been examining so many EKs with fake and real lips that it became second nature, and I don't even have to think twice anymore. Also, go look at your wing carefully. There are more hints that you can tell if it's real. If the black base of the wing has a tiny bump in the middle randomly out of nowhere, it's REAL. The wing itself has 4 distinctive holes behind it on the side (two of them are at the very edge of the wing), it's REAL. If the base of the wing is color coded with the wing, there's an EXTREMELY high chance the wing is FAKE because EK9 wing base is ALWAYS black unless someone repainted it. Where did you even get the idea these were genuine parts from? Did the person you buy it from tell you that? They were lying if they did. If your stuff is fake, then you should put "Civic Type R style rear lip" and "Civic Type R style wing (with brake light)". Sorry, man.

Someone asked me this same question last week so I made a photo for them. The left car has a fake lip and the car on the right has a real lip. Notice the 3 clues I told you.

ok, good to know. thanks. but why you coming off as mad bro?

Leave the poor bloke alone...the car is not a show car, its a daily driver.
A "Mule" to break in other B18C5 engines, I couldn't give a flying fu(k if it has real or copy ctr crap on it or not...as long as its street legal for B18C5 engines. *evil grin*

A few small things I got done today...

OEM air filter box is back under the hood.
Its much quieter with it back on.
The whale **** intake is just to damn loud,
I actually believe its louder than the exhaust, also the reason why it's been removed.

The fog lights fixed too.

Looks better and sounds much better.

No loss of power only from what I can gather from the butt dyno, much more community friendly in regards to noise tho.

I will need to fuss with the intake runner from the air box more when I have time, its not fitting as nicely as I want it to at the air box itself.

Also, ill be taking the HID headlights out and going back to standard. But ill be leaving the fog lamps as HID [:))].

lol. ya, so how did you know where to cut? its on point!

Sorry buddy, but I have no-clue as I bought it this way. I did not do this myself. I actually had to haggle with the seller to leave the roll cage in it because I did not want to cut more holes for another cage.

For those who want a closer look at a moroso oil pan in more detail, this is the 5.5qt model.

2 ports for oil return and one for temp. [and magnetic drain plug ;)]
Angled extension to keep oil in the pan more than in the extension area.

the lid does not touch the walls of the pan allowing drain back from above.

Note the holes behind the trap door, they all have this feature,
helps keep the oil where it needs to be.

The raised baffel walls allow oil to drain low to the pickup

A total of 5 trap doors. Nice pan. Well thought out.
