As stated, doing heavy thing about replacing my ek9 for mint black s2000!:nerv:

Is it worth it? Advantages/disadvantages please, all comments welcome:nice:

Thats how I came to own my ek9! ( Friend bought an s2000) .
It's definetly something to consider if you enjoy the challenge of a RWD..with VTEC!
Only thing to be weary of is cost of modifying is insaneeeee! Also better to check the condition of that soft top !

Should be sweet though, Ap1 or 2??

I like them but wouldnt have it over an ek9 but thats just my style, rather have a hothatch than a soft top - just cant compare them to be honest.

If the car your after is a semi-sensible two seater convertible then batter in but replacement for an ek9? Not for me thanks

s2000 are great cars, quite a big difference between that and the 9 however would be a nice upgrade :)

I do like the s2000 they look super sweeeeeeeeeet :D what is the bhp on one? anyone know?

I would usually choose the ek9 over the s2000 but man that black s2000 is ****ing sweet

S2000 with Spoon hardtop is the absolute ***...

ETA: What the hell, s.e.x is censored? Since when did we have a swear filter?

Exactly my thoughts, not exactly the usual looking s2000 is it!
If i manage to sell mine this week, may well buy it?

Anyone know of any common faults i should be looking for?

If wikipedia is anything to go by for info, think this is pretty accurate.
F20C engine also has many awards to its name which isnt a bad thing, has more power per cc than new FD3 which is pretty impressive for a 10yr old car i think!

Looks better, faster in a straight line, less 'boy racer', more expensive, harder to drive well, debatably less modable without serious £££, great engine etc etc

Well said, main reason im thinking of selling is that EK9's(dc2,dc5 etc the same) have become so common in the Rep of Ireland and want something different.
Boy racer stigma does hang off the EK9 in this country badly as a result.
So cheap to buy here so very accessible for the wrong drivers, giving the car a bad rep

Haha, well spotted!

They can obviously appreciate good motors, no matter what manufacturer they are from. :D

Without a big rear wing they are tail-end happy, but if your an experienced driver and want a change, why not?

Bear in mind they are group 20 insurance, Maximum UK tax (£400+) and drink fuel for jokes! Ohh and mods arn't cheap!

What do you use your car for currently and whats the intended use for this?

Josh..
