Rota wheels on EK

Hi chaps,

looking at getting some rota wheels for my ek and just wondering what size i should go for??? i want 15 but are they to small so should i go 16???

also what tyre size should i go for???

I know when I eventaully go for a set of uprated wheels i'll definately be going for 16" with a lower profile tyre, say 45.

I'm no expert on it but in theory this should keep the overall diameter about the same, so handling/accelleration should not be negatively affected.

The upsides are that a lower profile tyre should have less sidewall flex & should therefore offer increased/tighter response when cornering. 16"s will also allow you to fit bigger brakes behind the wheel, so another bonus there, then there's the fact that 16's will fill the arches a little better and so will offer better looks.

All down to personal taste, but my opinion is go for 16"s!!

I completley agree with this, dont get 17's that spoils the whole car!

Rota are a good wheel for a good price, I know & live in same town as Rota, Julian & Matt are top blokes and offer good advice!

Give em a bell they will sort you out with some nice new rims!! :nice:
 
Ive been hearing mixed reveiws on these wheels just wondering if anyone has any opinions?????
 
the wheels are fine, the quality is good, they are fairly light. the problem is they are ALL copies. as far as size goes, 15 perforance, 16 looks. i think 16 looks perfect on a road ek.

I like how they look, too bad is almost impossible to get 5 x 114.3 in 15" inch in the USA :mad:

me?

mine is standard height, only looks low on the track rims as they have 50 series profile tyres on them as oppose to 55 :nice:
 
Ahh see!!!

I thinkn of geting either Rota Grid in gloss black or sum Rota GT3 just wondering if you think thses would suit my car or not????

any opinions good or bad would be nice nice

The rims are fine i think. I drive them on my ej9 and have no problems with them... also that many people say, that rotas can break... i drove them hard on limit on taff courses and they didn't make any problems :p
 
I was looking to have a set of Rota slipstream but when i was searching i saw this, are this probably to be true?
 
Probs been in a crash or hit a kerb or something daft.
Im sure the quality isn't that bad,
 
they are jwl approved the same as standard wheels, i recon that car has smashed into the kerb or something pretty damn hard
