Why can you not leave reputation more than once to the same person?

As I understand you can so long as it isn't twice in a row although I haven't actually been in a position to try this so if I am wrong sorry.

Reputation hardly gets used either. Ive helped a good few time through PM and through forum and i hardly ever get it.

I always make sure i give to people that help me with good info/advice. Oh well lol

Ah Dan! lol I've tried on several occassions to give someone rep and it just tells me to spread it about a bit more! lol

I always intend to rep people but usually forget I dont think im the only one.

I have used the feature like 3 times i always forget its there...

Its not people being rude on not appreciating the help just the human brain failing us at times

Is their a way to check who you have given rep to and what your comment was, as im trying to remember if Ive given rep for help i've recently had.

reputation afaik has a time limit when repping somebody

i tried raising awareness about the reputation system a few months ago

but it is easily forgotten about about

i always rep people who write up how to's or usefull info in general

maybe it would be nice if after clicking the "post quick reply" or the "submit reply" button a pop up box would appear asking us "would you like to add a rep?" with a buttons "yes or no". that way if a write up or a thread you started, with someone that helped you would be given a good rep.

hope you understood what im trying to point out

anyhow its just my idea

Good idea but i think it could get highly annoying for regular posters

How about underneath the "Reply" box's and "Go Advanced" Box it has a note that says about reputation rather than a pop up as it would be annoying!
