Pucker up moment for N. Korea

If N. Korea decided to use nuclear weapons they would be decimated not only by the US, S. Korea, and Japan, but also China. The last thing China wants is nuclear weapons being used close to its borders.

This is not to say that there wouldn't be casualties. It would not be a war won over night. However, it would be a conventional war that N. Korea would be unable to win.

Somebody posted earlier about N. Korea not actually wanting to use nuclear weapons, but sell them. That is a more likely scenario that still leads to the above happening. A conventional war that will, in time, lead to the downfall of N. Korea.

Well said !

 I'm really enjoying watching you guys make mis-informed, ignorant fools of yourselves..

Its hilarious the stuff you come out with.

It seems at this stage S.Korea and the USA are watching N.Korea actions as far as short range missile actions; readying to launch. So if there is a field commander that by mistake readies a missile in N.Korea as a normal exercise, this could trigger a bad day for all.

roll on the conspiracy theories :naughty:

I'm going to get my badger to ass r.ape him if he carries on like this. He's been far too "sensible" recently...

On a side note though - I'd love to go to North Korea for a holiday (it's something I've actually looked into). Would anyone like to come ? The sooner the better ideally. ;)

^^Glass making is going to be their specialty in N.Korea, makes for good vaca trinkets

Would love for you to share what information you have.

FACT: Sanctions have been imposed on N. Korea that are greatly affecting their infrastructure and economy.

FACT: Majority of the N. Korean population lives in poverty.

FACT: It is tried and true that 'WAR' helps to build economies (read some history books). If your nation has nothing to loose-WAR may be the answer. If your nation needs something to gain, WAR may be the answer. Look at the US economy. Look at the N. Korean economy. It is a catalyst that is not a question of 'if', but 'when'. EDIT: I should say that this method of restabilizing an economy is only true if you win.

FACT: China does not want N. Korea to sell or use nuclear weaponry. China does not want nuclear weapons used near it's borders. China does not want a war with the West. China thinks of the future (look up some of the plans and projects they work on for their infrastructure-amazing). China realizes that the West is crucial and a needed part of that.

FACT: Refering back to the original post and article. The USAF is the best and greatest Air Force in the World. Hands down. No debate. We just flew two B2's 6500 miles, accomplished simulated munition drops, flew back to the US, and did this in a day. If authorized, the USAF will destroy the **** out of N. Korea (I might sound a little biased here, but thats because I'm in the USAF).

This is in no way releasing classified information. This is all information obtained from BOOKS, MAGAZINES, BBC, CNN, Other TV NEWS Organizations, and numerous internet sites.

Thoughts Topher?

dodgy time to be on detachment in malaysia lol.

That move from the usa was just a show of power I recon, prooving it could be done with more (simiar to black buck raid during the falklands war).I hope it worked lol.

im certain uk and usa are out of range from their ground fired nukes though.

:nice:

A definate show of power. I have zero concern regarding nukes being fired at the UK or US, at this stage.

A war is not a good idea. Yes, American and the rest of the world could put a pretty big hole in North Korea. But why? Because of one lunatic?

Hiroshima anyone?

Disagree with that one. War ruins economies, destroys infrastructures and leads to long lasting recession. See British, German, US, Spanish etc history

Recovery would come at some point, but there is no guarantee that the guy in charge then would have any more sense than Kim Jong Un

If that one lunatic is in control of an army and navy capable of the delivery of nuclear weapons and threatens innocents on a daily, then yes-something needs to be done.

Hiroshima is exactly what the US is trying to prevent.

I was hasty in my posting earlier. I will concede that if you loose the war then you will suffer from a ruined economy, destroyed infrastructure, and recession. 'Long lasting recession' is debatable. I would not consider Germany or Japan the victims of a long lasting recession. Also, the victors of war gain more resources-which in turn strengthens their economy. I have a hard time seeing how it 'ruins an economy' if you win-would you provide an example of a conventional war where this happened to the victor?

this "Show of Force" you mentioned...

This recent military drill was exactly that .... A Drill, in fact it is an Annual Defensive Drill conducted by the U.S and S.Korean Military combined.

Along with these B2's there were Submarines and 40,000 Ground troops. in fact nearly 29,000 us troops are still there... B-52's were used as well in this recent drill.

North Korea wants a formal peace treaty, security guarantees and other concessions, as well as the removal of 28,500 U.S troops stationed in South Korea. It sees the recent Annual drills as an offensive strategy that is aiming to invade and topple the Political Regime.. it does not want nuclear war as it is well aware it would not last long.. it actually believes that if it continues to make threats then it will be able to call the relevant nations to the table to be able to start talks about a peace treaty..

you have to also understand that it is trying to boost its nations confidence in its new leader, with all the military presence in the area it is obviously being shown up in front of its people.

do you understand that N.Korea has been at war with S.korea officially since 1953... no peace treaty has even been signed so they are technically at war.. so do you understand how it looks on the U.S that they are conducting drills in the area with the South Koreans, considering that S.Korea is at war..

Hence the reason that the U.K and Europe and in fact the rest of the world is not being threatened by N.Korea because they do not conduct defensive drills close to the borders of N.Korea knowing they are technically at war and knowing the area is turbulent with regards to political regimes and Do not have troops stationed their either.

ooo id like to know what you do topher sounds like it is awesome and secretive :)

in all fairness its rather true, the us do like to annoy every country it can look at Iraq all the propaganda to go in and well take down a leader who had no weapons, if anything the us are less likely to do something if the n Koreans have something that can put them in there place (nukes), ok not for long as war would destroy them but the us have nothing to gain and possibly a lot to lose. I have many family and friends in the forces and I nearly went in myself, but I don't believe now a days war is a possibility as too many of the big powers need each other like said before and the little ones need the big ones so would be cutting off the hand that feeds them. my two pence anyway
