Passenger ride in ek9 Kent area

Hi looking for a passenger ride in a ek9 , well before I part with potentially 8k of my hard earned monies , is there anyone who can take me for a spin around the block? Better yet anyone got some track time at brands ?

I need to be sure this cars for me if I'm going to get a fresh import. Ill sort the driver out with a drink

My previous cars was a facelift ep3 fun car but I didn't gel with it , I like the heritage of the ek9 the red carpets etc i hope the performance and handling are on par with the ep3

I'm from Kent and at brands frequently, cars offroad ATM though I'm putting hardrace bushes in. Next trackday is Likly to be middle of may if you can wait that long lol
Mines got a b18 though so you may want someone with the b16b to get a better perspective.
Ek9 easily put handle ep3 so wouldn't worry about that.
 
Nice cheers for the reply , I have been looking at b18 converted ek9 on the auctions, is the b18 a real good upgrade , I gather its more torque and yes I can wait that long lol, I really need to be sure about this before I commit to it thanks for the reply ek9 looks very well suited to brands have been watching a lot of track videos on YouTube may and have seen a couple vids at brands b18 powered
 
Youve probably seen mine then lol the video with the snow on the floor. That's me driving.
 
£8k for an ek9 is expensive mate, even for a fresh import.
 
Haha first time out in it aswell, had brake problems and was messing up the downshift which is the crunch you can hear. Horrid.
Where you from? I'm in Swanley jc3 m25.
Hopefully I'll have these bushes in by the end of next week so may be able to take you for a little spin. Or i can just pm you when I've booked brands mid may?

Yeah it's a lot but the ones I been looking at have got some tasty extras, one had Cusco LSD, cf bonnet , genuine bride seats , defi gauge setup, and spoon catback , plus grade 4 b , I wouldn't complain at paying 8k for a well spec'd ek9 it would be a nice base to start with, I can't find anything perfect for sale in the uk yet , think there's only 7 cars on pistonheads and like 5 or 6 on here

I'm In Maidstone yeah a little spin would be sweet if your down this way, I can rattle your brain about the b18 conversion .
 
I didn't do the conversion, I'm sure its not difficult though.
Check out my build thread and you'll see the mods I've got and done.
This rebush has become abit of a mission but soon as the cars ready I'll drop you a pm.
 
For that monies you can buy a 9 and turbo charge it :). Would not go back NA

Yeah , in really not up for doing that tbh , I had a starlet Glanza before my ep3 modded it from standard 130bhp to 210bhp hybrid turbo 1.2bar I spent a lot of money , I like the fact honda is reliable and servicing costs aren't bad , fitting turbos means , specific manifolds (probably prone to cracking) a ecu to manage it all , then the diff needs upgrading then brakes .... Where do you end?

I just want the usual air filter , exhaust +mani decat/sports cat, some sort of remap or ecu upgrade and possibly diff upgrade, clean condition low miles and I think the best way is for a fresh import if I can find a well looked after car in the uk all the better but I don't think I will find exactly what I'm after

Im from Medway if you want to co-pilot. My EK9 doesnt have a b18 in it tho.
 
this guy is a complete time waster came down to view my 9 said he was intrested only for me to take him out in it thinking is genuinly intrested, couldnt fault the car then made up a bullshit excuse about insurance. read adverts NO TIME WASTERS means no time wasters simple
 
Oi vti you wanna slate me online like I'm a fool , the only fool is you selling cars with no engine numbers , and registering your car from import as 1.6 civic not a type r , the only person who's time was wasted was mine , I travelled 150 miles to view your car , I had a 200 pound deposit on me , if you had the inside cleaned and registered the car correctly I would of bought it.
 
I'm not defending vti. But I know why he took the engine number off the block.
 
It is a shame the engine number has gone but with many people knowing VTI2010 on the forum im sure people know this is a genuine B18C, i also PGI checked the car today and it came up as a civic type R, whether he insured it as one is irrelavant really as it is registered properly. Hence why i left a depisit today :)
 
He's either took it off for insurance reasons incase of an accident. Or it just isn't a b18. More likely the first.
 
I tried to insure the car called up, they told me the car is recorded as a Honda civic 1.6 they would insure me on it with the engine swap but wouldn't value the car at 6.5k because the cars not registered as a type r , I checked the car via my text check and it only shows as a 1.6 Honda , I checked another car I may be l
