part of the k-tuned idle air assist delete is a plug to replace the IAA system, it is tapped 1/8" NPT for the oem B series water sensor, but i'm using it to fit my VDO water gauge sendor

typically it wasn't tapped deep enough to even fit the sensor in!

so drilled out and retapped the fitting, job done

since the temp gauge on the dash is massively innacurate i'm not going to bother wiring it in

ps, why are you running the adapter on the rbc, the hr throttle body is developed and designed to bolt straight to the rbc??

tomorrow is the big day :wow:

sandwich plate fitted up today and all wiring run as neat as possible

oil dipstick shortened, with the slot in baffle kit you need to do this, otherwise the dipstick will not fit properly

all the power leads ditched from the charge harness as i was redoing them all, harness rewrapped

picked up a plug off a ek4 radiator fan from a mate and spliced this into the pacet wiring to make it all plug and play with the loom

plenty other jobs done, literally just need to fit the exhaust tomorrow and i'm good to go for the first startup :naughty:

Nothing but the best for you Steve it's very expensive oil I wouldn't be changing that so regular.

aye i'm planning on running longer oil change intervals than the B series

heard great things about the 300v for track use, lots of guys in the states run it and have had oil tests done after - is really as good as it's advertised to be

You certainly are a busy bee that k20 will be epic.

Full props mate, cracking work.

How much did you have to cut off the dipstick Steve a mate of mine has just bought a bc sump

you can see by the photo, about 10-15mm, just hold the dipstick in an adjustable spanner and snap the end off

car started first turn of the key, runs super smooth, making mental oil pressure on idle ~50psi, so engine seems a good one!

few tweaks required to the idle control duration due to the 70mm TB, but all done and idling away nicely at 1000rpm

delighted :D

oh and it's really ****ing loud, haha

Always a good feeling when it turns over first time!

enjoyed the progress mate

Amazing turn around time, Cant wait to see video's of this in action.

Well done Steve, looking forward to the 5th gear limiter vids :D

We all knew it would start and run fine first time !!!! great work steven, now get out and Enjoy it .... well done  :woot: :run:
