Im just wondering is there any other colour options of wheel nuts available to fit OEM EK9 Wheels? I know Spoon did grey ones but they dont look great IMO. I think you can get black but Im not sure if they would look good with the White wheels?

black looks good, but I prefer the red look, specially if you have the red H center caps :)

You can only use OEM nuts on OEM wheels.
Colour options = only 1, Chrome.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I'm pretty sure as mentioned by the OP that Spoon did nuts to work with OEM wheels, althought I agree there's not much choice compared with aftermarket wheels and the nuts that can be used with them.

Cheers,
Alex

Yeah mentioned that in my first post. Im sure Honda do OEM black wheel nuts?

Spoon USED TO make wheel nuts that fitted oem wheels in gun metal colour as mentioned, these have now been discontinued though....

You can get 2 choices in wheel nuts for stock wheels:

1. Standard chrome finish (comes with the car)
2. Black wheel nuts, as found on the 91-96 run of the NSX, on the new JDM civic type R FD2

The NSX/FD2 wheelnuts are NOT cheap though from honda, NSX ones are about £5 each including VAT and the FD2 ones are about the same price, you NEED the part number for this as i tried giving them the chassis no. for my dads FD2 and they came back to me with silver nuts which they had in stock durrrrrrrrrr

i was going to get a set of black ones, but at £100 for a set of wheelnuts.... i'm sure that money can be better spent elsewhere

I did read on a different forum about someone having their stock wheels modified and the wheel nut seat bored to a taper seat so they could use aftermarket nuts, would have to be VERY accurate though and to be honest doesn't sound that cheap/safe!!!

If you wanted something different could always run ARP extended studs and open ended nuts from honda? That would be kinda cool :)

you can use any wheels nut as long as it has a 1.5 thread pattern. Muteki works well and they can be found at jlbmotorsports.com. Also some Gorilla locks make some for Hondas in a variety of colors.

If you get these, you can use aftermarket wheel nuts on standard rims.

Just noticed that Bazza from VTec Direct is doing a special on the black FD2 wheel nuts, if you were interested man...

Cool man, Its comes to under $5 for 20 washers. That means we would need about 11 members in total. If I could find somewhere else that does them it would handier.

Yeah thanks Ben. I seen that alright. I think the washers could be the best option as then we can use any wheel nut we want:clap:

anto i would be up for the group buy on the washers :nice:

Cool! The only downfall with the groupbuy like that is that they will post all the washers to one person and then we will have to post them again lol! Im sure some of the guys over in the US like Blinx know where we could maybe get these washers???

haha good point! bit of a pain in the arse.......

Well if there is no over place someone will have to post them out and ask for some postage costs, at that price i dont mind paying a £1 more for postage :)
