OEM Wheel Nuts Colour Options

Yeah your right, if we dont come up with an easier option soon we can do it that way. It would be best if some of you lads in the UK could take charge of it as it would cost me more to post all them back over to the UK if you understand what I mean?:)

definietly bro, I see what your saying as most would be in the UK, unless most were actually in ireland lol

Okay, I've just discovered something! I was looking at the wrong washers first :p These are the ones we need!

Prestige Wheel on-line

They retail at $1.47 per washer. 20 washers comes to $29.40. So if you guys want to go in groups of 2 to clear the minimum $50 order.:nice: Or else you can order in the link below as there appear to be same.

i want some nice looking nuts
i got black wheels with polished lip and center with chrome nuts, do you reckon it would look good with blue nuts to suit the body colour or keep chrome ones i got?

bumping an old thread did anyone end up buying the conversion washers? i bought some made for a bug and when i torqued it up with my muteki lugs and the washers just ended up deforming and although it held in place okay it didn't look overly safe

seems they're made of softer metal than the wheel and wheel nuts

Back to the drawing board then. Has anybody else had any experience with these washers?

thats my experience unfortunately
i've resorted to using oem ek4 nuts with cut off ends, changing to s2k nuts with cut off ends(shorter nut)
and if you're wondering why i'm chopping the ends off, i'm running arp extended studs :)

the only coloured ball seated lug nuts you'll find are only the nsx ones unfortunately as the spoon ones are discontinued long ago and pretty much no one else makes them now

Are they the deformed washers? They dont look too bad, but hard to see from the pics. You'd advise against these then vinnY?

yeah they're the deformed ones, they're supposed to be perfectly smooth
middle photo is the one thats deformed the most out of the bunch

i have a theory that the only nuts that would work well with these is those that have a rotating base such as the mcgard or the kics nuts(the rotating base is supposed to not scratch your wheels)

i believe that if the washer and base were to stay stationary then it would seat properly whilst if i had a regular nut it would torque both the washer and nut at the same time causing it to not seat properly

only a theory though, seems down under in australia mcgard or kics nuts are near impossible to get locally or cost an arm and a leg

Wayne from SSR is doing 20 of these conversion washers for $40 shipped. You can email him on the address below. Remember wheel nuts have to be torqued to a certain spec. Over tightening them could cause the washers to deform like above.

the washers deformed before it even reached 80ft-lb(stock nut spec)
