Nurburgring


A friend had just been offered to come along on a trip and im gonna go with him around 15 cars going next year around May il have my MB6 by then ( new family car 1.8 VTI civic ) if you guys want to make it a joint venture that would be mad like 20-30 cars going together and out on the piss at night. The group would be a mix of makes and a few motor bikes so i recon would make for a good group as a bit of variety is allways good plus we can show them what honda is all about.

We were gonna go for 3 days at the track.

It maybe a good idea to start a list of people who are interested in going so we can arrange a date to suit all im up for going twice so no matter if it dosent co-inside with my mates group.
 
And it would be great if anyone from the U.S or anywhere for that matter wanted to come along. I know I would let someone do a lap in my car if they wanted aslong as they paid for the lap and any damage which of course would not happen ;)
 
^Brave man. I would prefer a smaller group, easier to organise & manage. With a large group people get lost/seperated & there is more chance of attracting unwanted attention especially if some behave badly, road manners or other.
So far we have about 5? Im still up for 3 weekdays (quieter) & August as the weather should be better. Opinions!??

I will start a new thread when i get home from work regarding this, so we can get some numbers together! and start to plan our ek9.org trip to the ring!:)
 
What top speed will an EK9 do on the long straight under the bridge? (spoken like a GT-3 enthusiast!)
 
Well, if an EK9 does 240 kph max speed (which should not be a problem - my EG5 with D16z6, decat, open exhaust and CAI does 225) i think it'll get to 220-230; the last part (quite a big part) of the long straight (you're talking about the straight part where you enter and leave the ring right?) is a bit uphill.

The trouble is the build up in heat is immense and i was losing arround 15mph off my top speed purely down to the build up of heat.

And you have a WAI? Or do you mean the engine is overheating?
 
Warm Air Intake ;) But ok, that's clear to me. So with an EK9 it would help to lift the hood a bit?

Maybe or get some things like cooling plates or heat wrap etc etc. If like me you have aircon get it out.... Its heavy and restsricts airflow massivly That what i've done anyway.:nice:
 
If I were like you and have an EK9 I'd be happy already :D
 
And you still have problems with heat building up? What do you have?

Did somebody is going to the nurburgring last weekend ? I have seen many japanese car from england ;) We have 2 civic vti from France one Sedan and one Hatchback :)

Sorry for my bad English :p
 
Do any of you have gauges to monitor what's happening out there?
