Nurburgring

Being that the long straight is broken up by the ticket booth & barriers, it's not generally the fastest part of the track...

The fastest bit is generally on the run from Flugplatz to Schwedenkreuz (sp?) Probably a true 135mph in a 9

I did a 9m25 on my first visit in my Golf. The ambient temp was 30+ & the car never ran fully cleanly either.:nono:

I think by far the biggest factor to improving around the 'Ring is track knowledge & importantly not becoming "blinkered" by laptime. Just plod round & learn as you go....

Definitely the best advice I've heard this week! :nice:

agreed, drive comfortably, relaxed within your limits smooth as you can and the speed will come to you :nice:

I have been going for the last 4 years and i am no slouch round tehre and enjoy every lap, i have never once timed myself or tried to "manhandle" teh car round to try get a fast lap,, teh harder you push teh slower you will be!! :drive::drive:

i think im going next year at around this time!

Saving up already...should be a good holiday.

Going to spend this year getting some track experience and learn the etiquette

Vastly increases your chances of encountering a barrier too:nono:

Muchos $$$$ if that happens...& you could be stuck a long way from home with an undriveable car:shocked:

Well worth considering before engaging maximum cainage mode:nice:
