NEW STOCK! Spike nuts, Fuel line Tuck Kit, PAS delete kits.....

I'm not convinced and still think it will be ok for me. I will try at the weekend.

My car is no daily driver I expect it to be a pig and kinda like it that way.

Gash mate! Thats how it feels! I deleted my
PAS and and its the worse thing ive ever done! Im on the hunt for a proper manual rack because evan with the pipes looped etc its heavy as fuuuuuuuuuck lol
Just sayin...

I thought that if you strip the rack the steering is a tad lighter, saying that thought, I'm still in 2 minds about doing this. But I would prefer to do it properly if I was to do it.

EDIT: didn't see your last post, might have a go.

I was on the fence on this too, I took the leap and I actually like the steering better over PAS. But the real cool part is that there is no more parasitic drag! One can feel it in the pedal response.

How did you do yours?

Looped?

Open with breather?

Or stripped and greased the rack?

Looped
Here is a pic of the oil feed...center of pic, between brake master and clutch master.

Cool cool, what did you mean by parasitic drag?

Ah got ya. Did you actually notice any difference there??

I'm like the idea of this more and more

Yes this is noticeable.
And I am running 8" wheels, sticky tires. [not easy to turn at low speeds...but if Im going slow something is wrong...lol]

Sorry I ment on the engine side of things...

Yes its noticeable. More pep, better pedal response. "On its toes" is what I call the feeling.

i think the word you were looking for is "responsive" lol

but anyways, this FS thread has turned into a discussion

if people want anything, help or questions then please drop me a pm and ill happily help

thanks

hey its not a problem, i was merely stating thats all

i think its good to have a discussion about it, the last thing i want is people buying this kit and hating it. believe it or not, id rather not get the sale than sell something thats useless

this kit isnt the be all and end all, but i feel its a nice non permanent way of removing pas. as stated you could remove the rack, strip and grease it, but thats a pretty permanent way of shagging your rack if you decide its not for you. this is as simple as 2 nuts and pipes, fit the kit, try it for a week, if it isnt to your taste then re plumb the pas and sell the kit on for a small loss

discuss away lol

I'm 95% there just want to try no belt first to see if I like.

It is a great kit!

Sorry by the way I think we all got a little carried away... If you'd like me to clean anything up let me know. ;-)

Ok belt of and i have driven around with and it feels ok.

My question now is how different does it feel when looped as apose to just the belt removed?

ian, the difference wont be huge mate, if noticable at all to be honest

heres some pics of a kit fitted

this is on an eg for reference
its running a forged 500bhp turbo lump with 8" front tyres, he manages so im sure you boys all will

i think from now on kits wont include 0.5 meter of hose due to excessive waste, this kit was made using 22cm of the provided hose.
