My slow but sure EK4 build up!

Sorry for the late reply lads!

And thanks for the nice comments lads.

Got insurance kinda sorted, thats as much as i'm going to say here.

Draggin went good! New engine just turned 1000 miles that morning on the3 way to the drag event.

First run was like 15.5, and my best was 14.7 @ 92mph. I was happy with that because it was wet.

Hopefully better that a bit for the next time, as long as its dry!:nice:

just read the whole build. car looks mint. respect for doing the work yourself

Thanks for the comments lads, much appreciated!bt:)

Right, I gave her a quick polish the last night to go take a few pics and a bit a video, and here are some pics i took before i left the house, enjoy!bt:)

Hope ya like....

Thanks for the comments lads.
She rollin on the BBS's at the minute cos i'm gonna get tha EK9 wheels refurbed soon.

some job lad!!

musta cost a fair bit tho.

Thanks man, any pics of yours?

Its not too bad when you do all the work yourself. The only thing i had to pay out for was the spraying of the car.

The rest was just the parts (i was collecting them up over time) and my own labour and time.

But if i was to pay someone for the hours that i put into it, it would've been literally thousands.

DIY FTW:nice:

wow mate this thing is awesome. i read it frmo the start to finish.
can't actually believe how nicely it turned out.
hmmmmm might have to get a cheap run around and get down to it this winter.
how long did it take you from start to finish.? roughly.
thanks again

Next came the big brakes!
Prelude front calipers (rebuilt by moi!) + OEM ek4 calipers on EK9 brackets.
CRN front 282mm grooved + rear 262mm grooved + REDSTUFF pads (4x100mm obviously!)
Goodridge brake lines too while i was at it!
SAVAGE brakes now, night aqnd day better than standard EK4 brakes!

The front rotor 282mm 4x100 from which car ?!

Love this build thread mate! How did you attach the battery tie downs to the boot floor? If you have any more info and pics I would appreciate it. Cheers pal
