Jack's PY K20 EK9 now going K20/K24

Cool there's a few of you then! Yeah o.k sounds good i could get quite a few lads up for it. An eg turbo will be awesome. Ah o.k I've seen him about in it. He's got a starlet now i think

I will maybe try arrange something later on in the year if we manage to get some decent weather :)

If you dont mind me asking, how much would you say you spent on the parts required for the swapp minus the motor and the car?

Thanks everyone. Yeah the Rcrew mani was quite expensive even though its on offer at the moment! Its supposed to be one of the best ones for the price though plus it can accommodate a K24 should I ever want to go down that route
unbelivable mani in my opinion i had one on me k20 and are the best ya'll get. best of luk with the car

i like the shifter box looks very promising il have to do some research on that

Yeah o.k that would be great :)

I've spent about £6/7000 on parts but the engine that came out of my crashed EP3 that I had already spent a fair bit on. But then I got back around £2700 from selling parts that were already on my 9.

That's for all the positive comments guys. I've got to sort out the insurance today and tax and MOT tomorrow or Friday morning :(

Yesterday I went to fit my drop links to my EG VTI anti roll bar and it won't fit with a dc2 subframe and wishbones :(. So today I've got a 3 and a half hour round trip to get one ready for my MOT in the morning. Cutting it fine is an understatement!

How did you get around it in the end up mate?

What droplinks and anti roll bar did you end up using with the eg/dc subframe? Hope she passes the test anyway man.

you really need to run the full DC2 type R setup - subframe, LCAs, steering rack, ARB, drop links

you could have just ran it without an ARB altogether to get it through the MOT of course

I went to Bolton to pick up a 98 spec arb and got back in time with it all fitted. Only to realise that when I split the wishbones to re-furb them I'd put the fork parts on the wrong way so they were to high so no arb would fit. If they were on the right way in the first place I wouldn't of had to go :angry2: but you learn from your mistakes and I only paid £35 for the arb so it was worth it.

I could of used the EG arb as I mentioned above but it was also for the 6 hour drive to japfest which I thought could be quite dangerous without an ARB in this car lol.

Anyway the latest update. I've been waiting on a part for the clutch for 3 days and it hasn't arrived in time for my MOT which is at 9.30 so the car isn't finished in time and won't make it to Japfest :nono: So sorry guys I tried my best. Proper updates and videos to follow soon

Haven't been on this in a while so thought I'd update where I'm at. The car developed an electrical fault where the alternator wasn't charging the battery as it was blowing the alternator fuse (fuse 15) when the ignition was turned on. There was also no signal going to the fuel relay. Anyway it has been towed to a local auto electrician this morning for them to sort and then MOT so it should be done soon!

Here's how it stands at the moment
