Jack's PY K20 EK9 now going K20/K24


272bhp NA and 325bhp on nitrous!! results are from a Maha dyno. Sure, once you got a decent size catback behind it. If going SC further down the line go with a 3" catback now. Even on a NA stock K20 3" catback has proven to give the best results:nice:

They're impressive results. Is there any system with a 3" bore? I'm going to use a spoon N1 and a 2.5" custom b pipe. Or do you think a full custom 3" system would be better?

I don't know of any off hand. Skunk2 make a 70mm(2.75") catback that's closest one to 3" I know of. Most get a custom made catback. Vibrant make back boxes with 3" inlet.
 
Any idea where in the north/north west of England could do me a decent system? I don't want powerflow as they usually sound rubbish. I love my spoon N1 lol. Is 3" o.k even though the exit of the mani is 2.5" ?

Yes it's fine. If going custom your exhaust fabricator will use a 3"-2.5" reducer on exhaust so it will bolt up fine and you have a smooth transition from 2.5" up to 3"
 
K swaps FTW! Yellow ek9 makes it so much better. Currently doing a k24 swap in an EG myself. Can't wait to get it sorted. Look forward to see what results you get with an r crew. I'm still to decide what to go for. Skunk2 seems to give brilliant gains, from what I've seen.
 
The engine I've got made 248bhp and 170ft/lb with a dc sports mani, spoon cat back, FD2 cams, rbc inlet and a gruppe m induction kit. I was a bit disappointed to be honest i was expecting 255+. When i get it re-mapped it'll have a 70mm tb with matched inlet and a lightened fly so I'll let you know! It'll be a while off though
 
Thanks mate. I'm thinking of swapping the RBC for a port matched RRC and 70mm skunk2 tb but I've got a lot of other things to buy first. I want it finished for japfest so see if I can afford it
 
After getting a tip from a guy off civic life to use WD40 and a cloth to clean up my engine bay this is how I got on

Its been a while so I better give a few updates. Most of my parts have now come. I'm just waiting on my drive shafts, earthing kit, hybrid racing shifter box and my gearbox back from getting the lsd fitted. When the gearbox comes back it'll all get put together. Its taking a while because he's doing it in his spare time at work for a bottle of Jack Daniel's lol

I bought an Integra subframe and steering rack from r motion so here's that fitted with the rear Hasport mount.

I've removed most of the suspension parts and got them shot blasted from a local guy. They're to be powder coated next week in black to freshen up the underneath.

Diff fitting for Jack Daniels, thats my kind of price. Looking good so far, will the RRC fit with the full width rad? Not a lot of room in mine.

Whats the weight of the light fly? :nice:
 
Its Jack Daniel's single barrel which is nearly £40 though lol. I've no idea i haven't had anything in yet. If it doesn't i'll modify the radiator mounts so it sits a bit further forward. Have you got a picture of yours so i can see what it will be like?
