Jack's PY K20 EK9 now going K20/K24

I've been looking for seats for a while and have finally bought some. I drove to Tamworth on Monday to get these off a guy on Civiclife.

My re-furbished Cam cover came on Monday to so I fitted it tonight. Pretty pleased with how it looks!

awesome build mate, wasnt keen on the fn2 seats really.

how much has the k swap cost you? and how much do you forecast it costing you?

Cheers mate. No neither did I that's why they had to go. Plus they were very heavy with the airbags in. I got £460 for them so not to bad.
I bought the car for £4100 and I've sold around £2700 of parts from it that I don't need so they shell was cheap enough.
The engine came out of my EP3 that I crashed so I already had it but I had bought FD2 cams, RBC, K100 and mapping from TDI north so that came to nearly £2000.
Parts from America have cost around £4000 and other bits and bobs have added up to around £2000. This was for wheels, bushes, seats, exhaust etc.
I also bought a low mileage gearbox for £330 and an Mfactory diff for £450.
Adding that up nearly £10,000 lol. But it has been built with all new parts to a high spec so hopefully it WIll last! I didn't really know how much it would end up costing but cars I've had before never really satisfied me. The closest was the 250bhp EP3 so it'll be worth it my eyes.
You could do it a lot cheaper if you bought the parts second hand, used a cheaper shell and a low spec engine and gearbox. If you have a budget don't be afraid to go past it and then some!

Love this build mate :) serious amount of money put in but if its your pride and joy why not :) look forward to seeing the end result

With some heavy duty laquer for extra protection

The interior is also going back together now everything has been cleaned. Minus the rear seats and plastics of course

Also when I removed my rear lca's I noticed they were both left hand ones? Are they like this on all cars or has mine been bodged together? I though it could be a way of saving money by honda for the manufacturing process
