How well built is your interior?

its a road legal race car at the end of the day, the R in type R means racing, simple as and with it being a road legal car is off course needs to have some form of comfort otherwise it couldnt be sold as such

Manos maybe you should sell your 9 to someone who appreciates it???

:blabla: Neo, read my post carefully to see who does not appreciate his car!!! We can search together to find him if you want!! Anyway, I'm not going to sell any 9 to you nor to anyone, cuz I appreciate my car more than you think

I take it that means me.

Race cars are not driven on badly conditioned roads... besides, race car or not, if you have some compassion and love for your car you'd want it to be properly maintained, not just an engineering piece to toy around with. And that means the whole car, not just the engine and go-fast bits.

Some professional Japanese drifters came down to my country sometime ago, and they certainly have an appreciation for keeping cars in top condition. They actually criticised some of the locals for treating their cars as merely 'tools'.

Im just saying that, IMO, as a street car, there is a certain level of luxury to be upheld. Doesnt mean I dont fully utilize and appreciate the Type-R'ness of the car. And I dont have an inch of bling or american hip hop nonsense on my car either. :)

I used to have an older ek style civic - which i took care of, i sold it with 142,000 miles (yep miles not km) never replaced a standard part on it apart from those which wear out (brakes, tyres, wipers etc....) and i let me tell you the most annoying things about the car was the ash tray under the heat controls (it rattled like hell!!!!!!!!) - the door locks also rattled about (plastic flappy things) and the rear speaker panels were the same - no matter what i tried nothing would stop them and i didnt wanna just take them out.

My new EK4 Civic VTi has one rattle which i cannot find but it doesnt always rattle only occasionally - i think its inside the front pillar trim :( but apart from that the interior is solid.

My EU and EK's door lock thingy rattle too...as well as my friend's EK. (3 Honda are having the same problem LOL).

I guess thats because of the after market exhaust that makes all that sh!ts vibrate...

So what I normally do is just frigging lock the door and it stops the rattle. LOL....

Well, sad to say that mine does squeak and rattle a bit. Road conditions are terrible at certain places here, and I cant help but notice the squeaks/rattles.

Other than that, going over speed humps (which causes the chassis/body to flex a little) does cause the dashboard to squeak a little as well. :(

Do any of you experience this, or is your interior as tight as a drum?

Ive had mine two months almost, put 5000miles on the thing but it doesnt make any squeaks, im mega slow over speedbumps and the like, but do give the car a real hard time.

sometimes it comes from bent parts like suspension arms etc. Or accidents where damages you can't see.

The only time my dash rattles is when shifting hard on heavy acceleration.

the only thing that makes an noise in my car is my exhaust pipe hittin the bottom of my short shifter linkage....a dead badger hit the bottom of my car an bent the pipe up a bit an it scrapes wen im stopped an put it into first....stupid badgers!!!:(:(:(

The only rattle in my civic comes from the velcro holding the centre of my dc2 steering wheel together and its very quiet!
