How much your car is worth.


id hope 2400 for my 00 vsm ej9 which is very high but i have yet to see a cleaner ej9 in my opinion ...... but i would never sell it so does'nt bother me much.
 
i wouldnt take less than 1500 for my ek3 very low miles with some nice subtle mods
 
A car (and any other thing for that matter) is only worth what someone will pay. Our cars are now 15 years old, so the price will depend on the condition and in some cases the mods rather than anything else. You'll see people asking silly money for all sorts of stuff on eBay and the likes but whether they actually ever sell any of it is a different matter.
And just for the sake of the argument - realistically if I was to sell my scratched, dented, slightly rusty and stripped out 9 I'd be lucky to get £2.5k for it - it's certainly worth more in parts that whole!
 
My ek4 would need to clear basically 7k. - Guess this is why many get broken!
 
with some of the rare-ish parts i've either got on it or to go with it plus what I paid for the car would be close to about 2k

Only worth about a quarter of that if i'm lucky!

ha dude dont you think everyone that has an attachment to their car is going to think it is 'clean', subjectivity to the max. unless they are actually realistic which is the minority hohoho

In 2010 I sold my EJ9 for £3800.00. D14 in place :p.

Although whenever I'm buying a car I'll always be willing to pay top market price for a prime example or else I feel I can't really afford what I want and I'd look at other models. If I was looking for/wanted an EK9 I'd pay upto 7K for the right car with the right parts, the essential parts do cost a lot whenever you look at high quality items.

I'd say your pretty spot on with those figures, although there will always be a few exceptions top examples/low milers and of course the dogs out there.

On another note, EK9's seem so expensive because we pay about 2-2.5k on top of the sale price in Japan to get them on our roads here in UK and that extra cost is always added with the car "value" when selling.

its worth what someone is willing to pay, my car has had more spent on it than its actually worth. so it will never be sold as I wont break it and no-one is going to pay the price i'd need to even come out somewhere decent and still be losing money. Its a niche market for ek9's so as long as its well maintained it should hold its money better. All that being said they are a 15+ year old car and there is plenty of dogs out there that will bring the prices down.
 
As above, I made more than 6k from my car in parts, that's without a shell to break and I sold parts cheap.
