Thos of you who know me know that I am a stroke 1.8lt CTR engine with a few extra goodies. I had just installed an Mfactory 3/4/5 gearset and wanted to share the phenominal experience that it has brought to me. Inthis video I am drag racing a turbochared Premiera.

you owned the premiera, did you catch up to the lan evo at the end? great video. :nice:

yeah I passed the EVO after I hit third gear and sealed the deal with fourth.

Nice videos! I love the sound when you change from second to third year!

BTW I want that kit!!!!!

About time somebody posted vids with these gears, first mod to do bar none. Hope to get my 9 back this weekend so I can sort one on the lowly 1.6! What ratios do you have?

Nice :nice: but that camera's mic sucks. Sounded like an angry bee or something

Do you intentionally slip the clutch when shifting? (thats what it sounds like anyway, especially in the 1st vid).

You are still NA and the gears can hold far more shock load than the oem stuff, so stop grannying around and just dump the clutch between shifts :)

Looking good! Nice results with that! Whats top-end like?

The car is not tuned yet but the top end is very good, as you can see when i passed back the Evolution. Accelleration is intense with this gear ki making it very fun to drive and extremly streetable. By far this is one of my best mods to date! :nice: Mfactory.

sounds like tire spin more than clutch slip.

anyway those gear sets will be the first major mod i'll do with my EK9, i'll leave the engine stock.

Do you recommend this gear set for circuit racing? :drive:

Depends on your course, but generally speaking, yes :) You would have to choose your ratios to suit though.

How about a 4.78 final drive with this kit? the track has a big straight way and a lot of corners, I usually hit 180 km/h on the straight :nono:

Ace !! - What times did you run m8 ???

The clock was down that night, but prior the gearset I did 13.5 with a missed 4th gear on an Mfactort 4.785 final drive. I now have in my stock 4.4 FD and their 1.695 (3rd), 1.296 (4th), and 1.000 (5th). I did the 13.5 on slicks and in those vids I was on some dunlop street tires. I estimate at least a 13.0 on slicks with the new gearset.
