I got the car back after 72 hours, they used their max. allowed time to retain my car. They said i have to tow my car. They don't allow me driving it out even those my car is still driveable and have license and insurance. It is bullshit, anyway the tow drive drop off my car almost as soon as i got out the door of the police impound.

So after the inspection, they give me a list of what they found, which i have to correct,
- C-pillar bar
- Missing rear seat bolt covers (c-pillar bar bolts)
- Power steering missng pump and oil (i removed the power steering)
- Windshield washer missing all the hose and water container for the washer. (i removed it on purpose since i don't use it)
- Exhaust silencer altered (i have Spoon N1 muffler)
- Brake caliper, disc and brake hose altered. (Spoon caliper with Project U disc re-drilled in 4x100). It also said no approval number on brake hose. (i have no idea as to what approval number)
- Rear license plate lamp not operate
- Seat belt bucket mounting altered. (I have EK9 Recaro but the rail isn't stock)

My car is due for re-inspection in a month time............also it said they will have a full inspection again. Therefore more **** may come...........basically they want me to turn it back to stock completely.

I spell alot of time putting the car back together after repaint. And now i will have to strip it again. I feel sick about it and all the work needed.....

I don't think it would be any different if we are still a British colony. Of course, i have the right file a complain to police complain department. But that stupid law is a law.....and my car do have modification. So a complain will not really work.

An other big problem i found out today is that if i can not get my car pass the re-inspection (may be 2 chance), they have the right to cancel my car registration. What that mean is my car will no longer be able to drive on public road................

I am going back to stock as much as i can...........

thats really sad news , how do all the other modified cars in HK get away with it?

btw your car is really nice

Dude, wtf....you have to put power steering back? That might as well be standard! And the brakes...what an idiots. Better brakes and now you have to remove it.

Depend on your luck!! Usually it is quite safe during the day (i mean obey all the speed limit and other traffic law). But now i don't really know.

Thanks for other comments and support.

im very sorry to hear that i didnt realise that this type of laws is applied by the govenrment. i just put it back to stock to be safe and atleast you still have your car to drive. have you also done any research see if theres any way around it like its for show use or or somthing i know it sounds silly but try your options.

Wow! It sounds like Hong Kong is stricter on vehicle modifications than California. Who knew that was possible?!? :wow:
