well 9er's. Got my 9 remapped yesterday and got a lovely 227 bhp, 197 flywheel and 164.2 torque. Sweet figures from a stroked b16b now using standard civic cams again.

:shocked: WOW Hope il be getting these bhp figures when i finish building my B18C with std type R cams???

Was that 227bhp or 197bhp at the fly?
164.2 of torque is that Nm or lb/ft?

Also intrested to what other mods you have to reach 227bhp??
 
Surely the higher figure is the flywheel figure, not the other way around. You get all the transmission losses etc.
 
It's a B16b stroked out to 1800 cc guys...Nice figures.
 
Figures are far to high surely sure a stroked 16!

Need to see a spec of how you got 162 ft/lbs from an 1800!
 
work was done in japan so who knows what they got in there lol.lovely car and great numbers,still waitin for a burn in this gav!

ye my bad sorry. No lads, no turbo, no nos, its a road car. Mods are b16 stroked to 1800 usin 1.8 crank and rods but with civic pistons. Mugen airbox, power fc, full exhaust, aem fuel rail, carbonetics clutch, and bit of gearbox work. Torque is in lbft's. I.ll put up printout as soon as i can. Anyone who wants a spin give me a shout. :nice:
 
they are some serious figures duffy....ill vouch for this and say its a beautiful car and quick as f**k!!

162 lbs ft from a b18 without cams/itbs/ etc etc?

Gearbox work might have a big part in that ;)

Feel free to correct me if im wrong, but I never thought that the 'torque' gains from gearbox play, higher FD etc would show up on a dyno? as it is spread over the revs rather than to increase the peak torque figure.

Stick a 4.9 FD ek9 on the dyno and it wont suddenly make 150lbs ft for example, will it.

Dunsy has about the same figures from his stroked B16B and he has no headwork and no-one questioned him.

Dunsy has ~150 lbs ft on a very acc dyno. Another 12 lbs ft is a massive difference up from that on a honda.

EDIT: Kris b18 racecar made 162 lbs ft with ITBS and a fully built engine ;).
