Glanza 1.3 turbos?

Just wanted to now what your thoughts on these lil cars are! Are they any good and what bhp they producing?
 
I haven't driven one, but have had lots of mates with them. Generally summary as far as I can tell, is that they handle like complete **** and blow up with alarming regularity.
 
they are decent looking wee cars standard they are only 130bhp or there abouts, dont know how reliable they are though or running costs also a bit over priced in my opinion a good one is like 4-5k am sure

dont know where you get your info mate but its ****. a well looked after one will run for a very long time, i never had any issues and still drive one today 8 years on, 300bhp too.
 
ye thats what i meant 160ish with mods ,

ive never heard of them blowing up regularity,my 1 was a very high miler the boost was up to the last and that engine never failed

to be fair there are some shite ones around now, but same as hondas, people drive the **** out of them, dont respect them. thankfully i have both :nice: in good nick
 
handle like a soggy turd...and last time i drove one I was unimpressed tbh

yeah it must have been a fairly shite one, prob fit for scrap heap. the handling isnt great as standard but people who know what they are doing can drive them with few nice upgrades.:D

Thanks for the insult. As I said, they were popular round my way a few years ago, a fair few modified ones went pop. The rest got crashed.
 
Cool looking car...but im 25% looks when it comes to cars...Ill never get behind the wheel of one, so its got a NO vote for me! lol!
 
My best mates go one, Currently running 211BHP ( was rr'ed last thursday) Its pretty fast up to about 110 but then they run out of puff to a point. They handle like **** though :/ Hes only got a a few simple mods handling wise but its still shite (even with uprated anti roll bars)

I can sit all over him in corners.
 
they are fun in a straight line when you have a few mods done but the interior is absolutely garbage in them full of rattles and horrible grey plastics and they are a really bad handling car

but past 100mph they run completely out of puff on the standard sized turbo
 
I like the look of them but my mate had 3, and as Lee says they are fun and fast in a straight line but crap handling and a very old and cheap feel about them!
 
Back in 2006 I had a Glanza 1.3 turbo.

Great daily drive cars, handling is ok. And you can get some serious bhp when installing other turbo and a ecu.

The Glanza is limited with stock ecu, to 5-6 psi in 1st gear :(

again you must have been in a pile of scrap, cos mine makes absolutely no squeeks or noise, handles very good (not as good as ek9) but then again i look after mine, id say past 120mph they run out of puff, over 100mph and running out of puff?? seriously man you must have been in the biggest pile of ****
 
mate had one not a fan,as said interior is **** and 1.4 civic's with a set of coilovers out handle them

to be fair standard starlet vs standard 1.4 civic the civic will handle better!

I did owned a 4wd EP85 Starlet Import and it was fun, faster in a straight line than my civic but civic is more fun round the bends!
 
And as said above, the interior is ****! lol
