ek9 vs ae86 trd


Serious video, I would of tought the ek9 would have won hands down, the twincam has some nice sideways advantage near the end :)

the ae86 just takes a hand on the final lap with a few nice drifts :nice:
 
Stock ek9 vs stock ae86 would be an entirely different story

Thats a TRD ae86, its a weapon on track - looks to be fater in a straight line and rwd giving advantage in cornering on some of the tight parts of the track.
 
The TRD AE86 has the engine with the black valve cover 1600cc 20V ITB's 165 ps this is the specs for the stock engine from the AE111 this is from TRD i believe is stronger than AE111's. The best was to put a Mugen Civic Type R EK9 against the TRD AE86 ;)
 
Ye that 86 runs trottle bodys and thats his own car and is well set up..that yoke beats gtr skylines on the touge.

I don't like watching videos of EK9's losing. Obviously some cheating has been going on
 
Fully modified AE86 vs nearly stock EK9...I'd expect the AE86 to win easily but the 9 does well in this context.
 
If the CTR driver hadn't thrown his car up over the concrete apexes each he'd not have lost his advantage over the hatchi.
 
That was more a match to show how strong the stock ek9 (with spoon suspension..) is VS a heavily modified TRD 86.. tbh keeping in mind the caliber of drivers the ek did pretty damn well!
 
that ae86 runs 190bhp, ek9 not far off id imagine. the hachi roku is a demon
