EK9 Racecar

Thanks for the link :nice:

Yeh I saw that and thought hmmm.
Will treat the rust and cover I think.

I'd love to do what you've done and respray the interior! Maybe one day...
Your cage foot plate will sit right next to that bit, so you could just cut it back and reinforce the area a bit whilst you in there welding the foot plates

Good stuff mate , great that you have your familys support with your track day , makes for a great day out ,
Car be proper track bitc# soon enough
I'm subed .

Haha she will be soon.
It is great to have support from your family....
My dad follows looks at the forum and my thread too! Surprised he's not a member!
He says this forum is fantastic, and is far better than the Porsche forums.
He's got a 1987 Porsche 911 carrera in black, love that car, a real drivers car.

He had an immaculate 1989 911 targa is gaurds red with a very special walnut interior, it had only 32,000 miles on it! But it was too nice to drive! We won countless concours prizes and even a best in show once.

My dad is where I got my love of cars from so got him to thank for that!

That so cool dude ! Funny how cars can bring us all together lol . Wow your dad sounds like a good bloke,
Love the 911s so iconic and air cooled are getting hard to find nowadays. Keep up the good work mate.

Get your dad to throw up a build thread if he fancies becoming a member.

So your a chip off the old block then!

Thanks guys! Super excited!!
I've got the day off work on the 16th (my birthday)
Will probably go into work to fit the roll cage!
Is that sad? Lol

Had time today to finish off some bits on the dash and to finish stripping the interior.

I'm fitting the cage on Tuesday / Wednesday next week, also may remove the ABS if I have time and run new lines inside the car with a bias valve.

Because I have removed the SRS I thought I'd better get a new steering wheel.
Got a HKB boss from Tegiwa, and found this Sparco steering wheel on bay of the e.
Really happy with the steering wheel and boss!

Also as there will be no sunvisors, thought I'd better fit a sun strip!

Sun strip was also from eBay.

Once the cage is fitted, I have some Red skate board grip tape that I'm going to put in the front footwells.

Oh and this is a bit of gypsy fab / because race car lol

Thanks for following my thread btw guys.

Also this went from decent daily to track slag very quickly!
Props.
