EK9 Racecar


I'm on standard brakes aswell, just a pad and disc upgrade with a bias valve in the rear line.
I've not used the rpb stuff, my preferred disc is actually the brembo blank.
Dirt cheap and you can abuse them for quite awhile. I'm on EBC high carbon front discs ATM as that's all I could get when I cracked my mtecs at the ring last year.
I honestly think the brakes are great as standard with just pad upgrade, I'm determined not to change the calipers until I really feel they are letting me down.

Yeh same, I find the standard brakes are more than adequate. Will do what you've done just upgrade the discs.
Will look into those discs :nice: the rpb ones are fairly expensive.
 
Yeah brembo blanks are cheap if you can get them. I couldnt get them last time as was out of stock everywhere.
£50 an axle comes to mind but I can't be sure.
Ek9.org trackday needs to happen! It's been like 3 years in a row I've said this!

I've got a motor factor through work looking into some Brembo's for me.

Yes! I would be up for that! Start a thread to see if we can get people interested, or to be fair we could probably gauge interest at Japfest.
 
Ive got some new front black diamond discs with brembo pads if interested and also new oem honda discs.

Yeah we had alittle ek9 session at japfest2 last year which was fun. Everyone was hyped for a day then aswell but getting a time/location that suits everyone is difficult.

You guys need to come rockingham full circuit 3 hour open pit on a sunday 99quid hondas only, perfect.
 
When is this?
For me it's having the car ready and getting the time off for it. I work a rota which includes 5 Sunday's out of 7.

Got a pair of Brembo front discs coming tomorrow!!! £42 for a pair!!!! If they are right what a bargain!!

Making that might be touch and go. Remember I'm tuning this winters build myself and I've got all sorts of interior stuff to do because of the cage.
I'll bet it's near fully booked anyway.
