EK9 K20 Pembrey race lock up!


I thought it was the first one, nearly collected the EP on your way back on. Mate my sphincter was going let alone yours!

I bet the hands where sweaty after that :D that would be a good clip to show drivers how u can prevent a crash by letting your foot of the brake to get the car to steer again..
 
Haha slight panic at the wheel. Take it you where defending at the time.
Just too much pedal force or hit a bump? Can't tell from the video.
 
Flinch everytime I watch it, the 2nd EP was turning in & managed to squeeze between them, I had 3 lock ups there, I had started the flatspots on the 1st one, each time I braked it just kept hitting them, I will post a pic of my tyres later!
I thought I still had my ABS as it was my first race, I normally brake very late with the Brembos, as you see it turns out it was not working! At the time not used to driving that fast without it.
I was defending badly, started the race in 2nd I think as Viper had retired.
 
I never finished that first race..





I think I made every mistake possible that day, ignoring flag signals, crossing the white lines, general driving, ignoring the sighting lap among them, saw me in front of the Clerk of the course twice, not good!
 
Good job on the those tyres! Chances are I'll make the same mistakes. Hopefully I'll be as lucky as you.
 
I done exactly the same in my h2b eg two years ago! But I didn't manage to save it and carried on going a lot closer to the wall in front! Luckily I didn't go too far but had to do a 3 point turn to get back onto the track haha
 
Sure was, my mates EP3 in front too, criminal to have hit it :nerv:
 
You had any driver tuition? Or just gone out and started racing?
There's a few techniques you could develop to improve control/laptime etc. Be worth getting out for a few hours with someone experienced, easily make a couple of seconds improvement with the right tutor.
Our regs say we're not allowed ABS either. Bloody interfering tool!

This was my race 2 at Pembrey this season. You guys are far too civilised :lol: Looks like you had an agreement not to overtake until the first corner! Sod that!!

Started 20th, finished 3rd.
