>>ek9 daily road/track build up from the start<<

Very true ashy, i have also had my car dyno'd in n.ireland on a different dyno and it made the same power give or take a couple of hp. At the end of the day my car pulls very well for an internally standard b16b so im happy.

dyno graphs are best for showing power before and after a map but obviously lee isnt happy with his power figure since he seems to believe that my figure is made up lol

Out of interest lee, what mods do you have, what power did it make and on what dyno?

Have you had a run at any other hondas to compare yours to?

One of the Odyssey battery that Ricky wanted to see

Hi mate...sorry to drag this up but...where did you get this battery from? And do you find it to be ok when using your car day to day? I ask as I'm looking for a smaller battery than the one that I already have so I can stash it away when I relocate it. PM me if you like. Cheers

arnt ek9s 185bhp standard at the fly ? at the wheel will be a diffrent story so that sounds about right am i wrong ?

just search online for " odyssey pc 680" as plenty of places in the UK stock them :secret:

they have great cranking power for the size of them also.

Awesome...thanks for that man. So it's ok to use on a daily?

I haven't updated this in a while

Been a few changes to the car lately, due to selling my 2nd car and buying a house this year I have been forced to make the ek9 slightly more practical for everyday use

Put all of the interior back in, fitted a pair of black dc2 Recaros & rails and a brand new OEM ek9 backbox.

The EK9 just went through MOT no problem even with the decat :)

I also lowered the car a small amount at the rear to level it out and give a more neutral feel at the rear for a change.
Gave the car a good polish with a DA aswell. I will get some new pics of the exterior and interior as it sits now

Cheers dude, been considering a carbon bonnet but trying to decide if it will suit the car or if it will look cleaner just keeping it white.

Also the weight saving of the carbon bonnet is one of the main factors to think about

Rad looks good, but would it make a diff over STD?

of course it will, same set-up as me dude, the rads pretty light aint it,and to the page before yes there is healthy engines,my jordan made 172 bhp with just a 2.5 inch manifold,de-cat and a 2.25 cat-back pretty good for a car that supposed to be 160 standard and the dyno it was not a high reader as a fella had his dc2 with breathing mods, full exhaust and a bit of other work done and made 197 bhp

Cheers lads and your right Phill there are def some Honda engines that are healthier than others! All depends on how they are maintained and what bolt-ons and mapping of course

I'm going to be fitting Temp gauges in the future, got a BWR oil filter adapter thanks to Ricky "eternalblue2000", very nice part so will be sourcing gauge etc next

Just read through this whole read, awesome EK9 you have. Seeing your gearbox build makes me want to put different gearing in my EK9. Also from reading through it is very believable that your car made went from 186bhp to 204bhp my P28 and Crome. My EK9 is mapped on same ECU and software, it was running 197bhp on a Spoon ECU but with P28 it made 212bhp :nice: At the end of the day though its how it performs on the road/track and how it drives :)

Exactly mate, everyone knows that Henry can map a Honda and achive decent gains!

The gearing and map I feel were the best mods that I have done for performance especially out of the corners and because of the fact that it still has a b16b which obviously has less torque and mid range than the B18C

Just read there this project, and I am very impressed with it. Your car looks very well and seems to be as healthy as they come. Loving the radiator your running too! I think I was at a trackday in 2010 in my Saxo VTS that you were at.

Out of curiosity, who mapped your car btw and who in NI would be recommend? Thing is, I bought an EK9 recently and will be looking it mapped at some stage in the next 6 months to get the best out of it with the mods I'm running at the min.

I took my car to Henry Roy "tripple H performance" near troon in scotland as there really isn't anyone worth paying to map a car in N.Ireland unfortunately.

A friend of mine on here is using "vtec600" who is also a member on here for a remap so see how he gets on and he does the mapping not far from Dublin iirc
