Cheers bud, yea no problem if I can help you out at all I will. When's this DC2 hiting the track then??

just read the first page, the engine went from 186 - 204 with a remap and a couple of bolt ons? misprint?

No misprint

Getting the car tuned by someone who knows what they are doing

Had my car tuned by the same person, he's been working on hondas for 25 years now, sure he knows a thing or two :nice:

haha your funny. No missprint the car made 190bhp with all of the bolt- ons and 204 after a remap on a p28 ecu using chrome and the tuner who really knows how to map a honda

Just seems weird that people usually spend a fortune on cams Etc to get that kind of power as most ek9 don't usually put out 182 bhp,

Stunning interior too, was looking for this job on my gearbox and the coy wanted £500!!!

Wierd? So what are you trying to get at?? If you are trying to say that you don't believe that the car is making that power then that is your opinion

A member on here had a b16b with cams and it was making 210-215bhp mapped by ek9-turbo

A healthy b16b sould be making at least 185bhp on a standard ecu. Not all ek9s make the same power, I was at a RR day when my car was dyno'd at 187bhp and another ek9 only made 172bhp on the same day. It all depends on how the car has been looked after over the years and some mods can also make you loose power. Some dyno's also read lower than others

I don't agree that a healthy 9 makes that much. Try 150 on a hub dyno, the output is Not that much new, and when it was new it was on 100 Ron fuel.

Its like anything in life, variables take their toll on things in different ways, who's to say a low mileage engine will make more power, if its never been cared for it may make less. Looking after a car/engine really does make a difference.

The combo of parts on his car may work exceptionally well together coupled with a remap i can see figures like this being true.

Also as said dynos all read different, BUT if 2 runs are done before tuning works and after on the SAME dyno the increase is genuine, unlike having 2 runs on seperate/different dynos, then no true comparison can be drawn.

Awesome figures and great build!! Keep it up!
