EG6 from Belgium

Yesterday, I bought some new running shoes for the EG6. There is public driving experience at Spa, the 2nd of august:

I still have to baffle the sump to compensate the extra grip the Toyo's will give. I never drove semi slicks on the track (only Potenza RE010, RE040A).
 
Last friday, me and a friend did a public driving experience at Spa Francorchamps (hottest day of the year) :nono:
Cars and passengers had a hard tim :))
But it was really nice!!

Next step: oil cooler
Oil went up to 135 deg+
Water 120 deg...
Each session, I did 1 lap at half throttle, to let the oil and water cool down a bit...

Real shame we couldn't all get on the June 30 day but at least we did NUR. Did the sumps get to you?
When are you going to come over to UK then?

Yes, it was great!! Spa is the nicest track I've ever driven...:bow:
We got the sumps yes... We welded in some home-made baffles, but we didn't have time to put it on the car... To last minute :angry2:
We still have to sand and paint them. That will be for next time :D

I don't know when we are heading to the UK again.
Wich track/airfield, do you want to drive?

IMO don't paint the inside of sump at all as you don't want paint flakes blocking up anything.
Abingdon is closest to me or Hulavington is up by Castle Combe M4 exit.

No no, we are not going to paint the inside :))
Only the outside, because the paint is gone after welding the baffles in.
And also, there were some rusted surfaces (due to scratches) we need to refurbish ;)

Some time ago, I reupholstered my door panels, with some red fabric.
The seller garanteed me it was "Recaro fabric". Wich turned out to be a lie.
But it still looks nice. Fits the interior a lot better, then the standard VTi-trim...

Wow, This has to be one of the perfect examples of an EG. So much good work has gone into this, In the right places too. Glad my old engine is still keeping you happy. :)
