Hi guys,
I was on the piss all day yesterday so apologies for not responding. Firstly I just wanted to say thank you to you all for your responses, that was very good of you and I feel it's helping me realise that there's a time and a place to drive quickly and that I need to resist the urge to plant it everywhere I go.
Yesterday I decided to go up to the EVO Triangle to release some of my frustrations which is only 30 minutes from where I live as generally the roads are very quiet and it's right up through quiet farm/moorlands. I'm sure many of you guys have driven these roads before so you'll know where I'm talking about.
It's the first time I've really been able to open the B20 up since I've had it. The handling of my car was a bit all over the place, that coupled with the more power of the B20 and it gave me a fright in some places so I really had to slow down and calm down a bit. I did have two guys on Superbikes by the side of the road shouting at me "TEC TEC TEC TEC TEC" ha ha!
I really am going to try and slow down now and not show off especially in built up areas. Whenever I see passers by now I'm just going to tell myself "Slow down, there's no need to show off you're not going to gain anything from it".
I'm going to heed the advice about slowing down and not let people get to me and feel the urge to race everyone, like someone said there are much faster cars out there than mine I don't need to prove anything to anyone so there's no need to drive like a complete prick everywhere I go. Also I need to start growing up too, not just behind the wheel but in general. I really am getting too old for this kind of ****.
I'm hoping to get the EK on Anglesey circuit in July or August and hopefully that will help me learn a few things and how to control my anger and temptation to floor it everywhere. As for hobbies I'm quite a chilled out person once out the car. I go to nature reserves, go walking a lot especially hill walking. I just feel completely different once I'm in the car.
Once again guys many thanks for the advice and stories on how you've learned to deal with going quickly and driving aggressively. I really am going to try and slow down a bit and only drive quickly in safe places that are out of the road and I can't harm others.
