Differences Between 96 Spec and 98 Spec Integra Type R

All the JDM Integra Type Rs came with a OBD2A ecu, you can search in ebay for a apexi power fc and in the description of the item you'll find this:

impossible, those size rotors are found on cars like the Ferrari Enzo. No honda has ever had rotors that large... you would need at least an 18" wheel t oclear the caliper...
 
i got that info from a DVD mentioned above...it was translated from japanese to english.
I doubt it too...but most of the info seemed correct.

Still wondering about the OBD thing....

Apparently besides the 96spec and 98spec theres also such thing as a 00spec. It shows a Yellow ITR which might have been a special edition But I dont know of the changes again..

As mentioned elsewhere before: The Japanese use this method to state the SMALLEST wheel that will fit over the brake system.

Since we know the 96spec rotor size is the same as the USDM DC2 with the exception of the 4 x 114.3 bolt pattern, we look to some of RS/GS models and note that they were in fact fitted with 14" wheels.

This coincides with the mentality and support of their massive aftermarket.

96 Spec discs are 262mm, 98 Spec and UKDM discs are 282mm

so 96 itr has 4 2 1 and 98 has 41, what are the sizes? 2.25, or 2.5 repectively? which has a better performance? thanks!
 
4-2-1 on the 96 is the same as the ek9 manifolds of which are 2.5''.
The 4-1 from the jdm 98 spec is regarded as one of the best oem manifolds made.

This may be a bit of a crude question, but is either model better than the other, or one more recomended? or are the differences between the cars negligable? cheers
 
so if some1 was to put an integra type r engine is to a 98 civic what would be the best an would the 99-00 loom an ecu fit ok or would need to get a harmness i know that the drives is bigger would use the 96 spec ones

So would the cat converter off a 96 integra fit onto a 98 integra?!
