Civic EG6 SIR2 overhaul.

This car is awesome mate, given me some ideas for my own car. Love the way you have took all suspension out and got it all powdercoated and renewed. Engine bay is my favourite part, so clean and nicely modified :) Keep up the good work!

Stunning build. Would love to do an overhaul like you have done

Thanks again guys :) Glad you all like.

Car goes for mapping tomorrow :)), Shall post the results up when im back.

Meant to be some big power cars going :((

Well the civic is all mapped, Impressed with the results and drives so nice now also with added pops, bangs and flames :nice:

power wise made 159.2 WHP and 105 Ft-lb at the wheels

so it roughly works out to be 190bhp @ fly and 125 Ft-lb

Not bad at all i reckon from the before results :drive::drive:

Mase is a quality guy to chat to as well so thanks to Him :nice:

Peak torque seems to be occuring rather late in the power band have you after market cams? or adjustable pulleys which have been adjusted to shift the power band that high? 159.2whp would equate to roughly 184.6bhp on the Dyno Dynamics good power for a b16a:nice:

As far as im aware the engine is totally stock ?

184.6 sounds good to me i only got the 190 figure from doing the online calculation things but yer not to bad for a relatively stock b16a

It doesn't look like a typical b16a dyno sheet that I would see on the dyno dynamics normally midrange torque would come up a good bit when you map them and the torque curve stay flat then start to drop off but your's is peaking around 7600rpm. I bet it pulls well past 7k rpm?

Oh right, not sure what's going on there then, this is the first time ive had a car mapped so im still new as to what's good, bad and all right.

It sure does at around that rpm it flys along which to be honest suits my driving and track work as it lives in that part of the rev range

I love reading these epic OCD build threads, makes me feel so much healthier hehe

Thanks guys :)

Car has officially been put away till spring or when the good weather is back :)

A little snap shot of one of the things to come over the winter months while the car is off the road
