Carrying on from the members section My Civic EG6 SIR2.

This is how the car was when i picked it up in June last year 2010.

she had only been in the UK for just under a year and had 10100KM on the clock and came with the following:

Spoon sports gear knob

Before i drove the car i cleaned, washed, scrubbed and then two staged under sealed the whole underneath of car which took me 2 weeks to complete (drying time etc..) as she is rust free i wanted to keep it this way, unfortunately i didn't get many pictures of this

DSC00744.jpg

DSC00745.jpg

DSC00747.jpg

DSC04480.jpg

I then gave her a full service all fluids, cambelt, ht leads, dizzy, plugs, fuel filter, air filter, oil and oil filter, the full lot. after that i decided i was going to leave the car alone and just drive it but that only lasted for 2 months as i broke the clutch

DSC04636.jpg

DSC04637.jpg

So with that broken it was time for a new clutch a Competition stage 2 clutch and i had the standard flywheel lightened and resurfaced

Not to much more to go till its can go back on its wheels for the first time in nearly? **** me 4 months bloody hell lol that went quick :censored:

Not much of an update but had the decat welded up during the week and the Honda rear bearing/ hub nut caps arrived.

Tegiwa decat pipe welded up.
DSC04894.jpg

Sprayed some high temp paint over the weld to protect it from the elements as didn't have access to a tig welder and stainless steel wire so just miged it up.
DSC04896.jpg

and finally heat wrapped it (not really happy with the end result of the wrapping, looks a bit **** to me so may do it again)
DSC04898.jpg

Honda rear bearing/ hub nut caps (think im taking this a little to far now lol)
DSC04899.jpg

This weekend i should have the brakes back on the rear and system bleed through and finally go for a test drive :) :) :) then back on the drive for some fresh oil and filter and book it in for a geometry session in Southampton :)

Rear brakes are on :) but the brake fluid didn't turn up in time so will have to bleed them next weekend.

Little update.... Got the car's GEO done and suspension set up at Sumo Power Friday and WOW what a place Sumo Power is... never been anywhere like it all so friendly and the place is just sooo clean!!! anyway GEO is done and im very very happy with the way the car handles now so much better its like driving a different car even Sumo power was very impressed with the work i had done, the way the car is and drove but suggested i lower the car a little more to get the best out of it so looking to to sort something out with that soon.

Unfortunately i didn't get any pictures of the car on the ramps at Sumo :( but here is one from the dyno day. Promise to get a photo shoot done soon.

Also while at Sumo Power i couldn't resist buying one of theses
The J's Racing Tsuchinoko Air Intake Kit in Carbon
DSC04931.jpg

DSC04933.jpg

DSC04935.jpg

DSC04937.jpg

100% real carbon fibre unlike the cheaper replicas and so much lighter and thinner than the replicas due to no fibreglass
DSC04939.jpg

Hopefully will be purchasing a Skunk2 IM to match this up to and building a sealed cold air box for the J's Filter so that it don't get the heat soak from the engine bay and makes the most out of the J's bumper duct too.

Also purchased this a few weeks ago
New Apexi Power FC and new EL type Commander
DSC04918.jpg

Still waiting for the conversion harness from Stew @ PPW

So still plenty todo

All this in one evening Haha.

Great work! Some serious parts used, definatly one of the nicest egs on the forum :D

Posted on this on the members ride's section and I am sticking to my words here as well.
