I cant really belive it eather mate, it has been the hardest decision i have ever had to make TBH mate!:mad:

But i have to put my family before myself now!

I feel for you mate, as i was betten too two other gearbox's in the past!
The most gutting thing about doing this is the fact i have wanted a close ratio box sin's i bought my 9, now i have one & im never going to get to use it!:nono:
 
You've made a wise choice bud. As you mentioned, you can come back to building a track car later on in life. Hope al goes well:nice:

its a lot easier to replace a car than loved ones

That is a real heartbreaker James, will you get a car to share?

Was really looking forward to a skirmish or two this year, there are too few EK9's on track, but I fully understand your position as I battle with it also.

An extremely tough decision to make mate... Seems you have taken your time and weighed it all up,,, I for one hope you still come along to some HOT trackdays and say hello (as your a very nice chap) and get some pax laps like :drive:...

Ps,,, I'm sure I could let you have a play in my "breadvan" from time to time while you wait to get your next track toy ;)...

What do you mean by a car to share??? I have a Vectra TDI as my family car i share with my Mrs if thats what you me! lol
I thought about selling half my car to one of my mate's, but TBH i dont have any mates that i could rely on properly to put the same kind of commitment in as myself & the ones i could just simply cant afford too!

The hardest part of all of this is the fact that i can afford to keep the car & the Track days, but i will never get the other things i want in life while i do. (marriage/bigger house/savings/holidays ect ect)
Cars are all i know, sin's i started work & got a driving liscense all i have done is spend money on cars. So if i did keep it i know deep down this is all i would do!

Put it this way, my Mrs asked me about 4 months ago when we were going to set a date for our wedding. My answer was when i have finished my car! lol
She is the best & very understanding with regards my car, TBH she dont want me to get rid because she knows how much i love my car!:((

I can come back to this in a few years when i have got other things sorted, i cant turn back time to make a good start for my family!

The money i will get from breaking my car will pay a few debts off & give me a lump to start buying & selling cars agen, to make some money to get were i want to be with my life!

Im only 24 soon to be 25 & feel like an old man for thinking like this, but i have to sooner rather than later!

The HOT days are just an enjoyable day for all & some PAX always makes it even better!:D

Are you going to put the car back to standard and sell it or are you selling it as a rolling shell without running gear and seats?
