anybody have any ways of seriously bringing down the emissions of a turbo civic?

wel lowering da boost is da simplest way and of course a cat wil help big time

mite sound crazy but if u hav an adjustable ecu u can turn down da fuel as wel but i dont recomend dat 1

a decent map usually would be first thing to think about, what is taking care of your fueling atm?

 Yup, sounds crazy..:nice: You must be a tuning "Guru" with advice like that

Now to be serious- :D

Assuming the emmissions are out on idle during an MOT test, then suspect the Lambda probe if it has previously been running fine/passing MOT's etc etc

If not, then it sounds like the fuel map is uber-rich...

this will do the trick

we just put in a cat but it is still to high on the high revs, fine on the idle. called for a quote on getting it tuned 700 euro in ireland

take of the turbo as civics are pretty damm green in the first place.

Please stop talking.

Now back on topic, it is possible with a cat in place and a proper to tune for emissions to pass emissions. Speak to your tuner and see what he can do for you. If your area has a visual inspection then you fail no matter what.

apexi fc, its been tunes before, but i think i can tune it again to drop the emissions some. everyting has been changed filters oil plugs and a cat, its still to high. i think im just gonna have to get it tuned again

Might be worth considering aftermarket management & a proper map IMO....

Pricey for sure, but will release more power (& economy) from your engine:nice:
