B16B: Stroker, b20 or 18c stroker kit?

Hi
What the most economical power gains on the B16B?
Could go stroker as a cheeper option or get the 18c, sell the b16b then stroker that it.
Or the b20 block conversion.
Think the K20 just too expensive
Any one got any views on this or even possible power out put of them?
 
B18C swap would work out more cost effective than stroking the B16B, unless you are doing the work yourself.

I don't know anything about the B20 conversion.

Thats my plans...maybe, or B18Cr bottom end...
 
close gears and/or a final drive provide the most economical gains.

But if you must have more displacement, find a shortblock and freshen it up before swapping it in.
 
Let me speak from EXPERIENCE. The best "which is not always the cheapest" way to go is putting to use a B20 bottom end with your Type R head with some 12:1 cr pistons. I promise you that you will smile every time you drive your car.
 
Just curious, but can a B18C6 be converted to become a B18C with the right cams/pistons, rods, head gasket etc to bump the compression? Or are they too different?

If so, that could be even cheaper?

Only differece between the c6 and the c is ECU, EX MANIFOLD, CATYLIC CONVERTER.

Engines are the same in everyway.
 
You can make the similar just by adding larger cams,im,tb,thin head gasket and tune.

How would they compare though? I take it the compression would still be lower than in the B18C, and I'd assume the power of the B18C would be better?

Depends what cams you use and how you tune it...
