***Attention***Do not buy buddyclub camber arms***

Id be surprised if they gave you any money back man, although fingers crossed for you!

Those four allen bolts are a very weak design, why I would always recomend the Eibach, for its type of fixing. Stevens issue is different but you will always get flaws.

Dont bother emailing or writing, pick up the phone..

Yeah my issue with eibach balljoints is most likely being a bit ham fisted splitting the balljoint from the knuckle in the past, they are a fantastic design/quality!

PM me with a testimonial and ima write to BCUK and see what they say.

Here is a pic.

Well, lets not over react here. Its the dam allen bolts that failed, im sure buddyclub is not making that part of the arm. Cant you just replace them with a higher quality bolt? Its not like the arm failed at all.

I'm not over reacting dude. However if all the bolts did happen to fall off I could of been in a ditch/hospital bed/wheelchair/grave. Anything could of happened...

I've sent them a nice email, not being snotty or anything just explaining what had happened and just with a simple I await your reply. I'm in the industry and getting snotty mails really pisses me off :(

If BC had suuplied the arms and stated please provide your own high tensile 6mm bolts and then they snapped I would of happily done it. But the quality of their other stuff and then this happends to something that is meant to be good. Is quite dissapointing.

Also I don't have the money to spunk on new bolts or replacing them. Some compensation would be nice - However just a reply to my email I sent them and I will be happy.

i run omni camber arms for many years on mine, driven daily for all then years through every single winter with salt and they never failed in mine, every compnay has it % that fail, just hope these are rare cases with bc

warranty is hard with many items, even companies like spoon and mugen offer 0 warranty in many cases as "race" items

Heres the solution to all you guys who own a broen set...
go to a quality fastener company and order a set of replacement bolts in 12.9 grade.
Then they wont break.

Ok Texx, well put. Its still a race part that is not meant for road use. How do you get past that with BC? A simple reply from them is most likely not going to happen.

Parts fail, pads wear out, windows get cracked. Its part of life. Keeping a good eye on all of your after market parts is part of the fun/overhead/duty with keeping your car safe, not on the manufactures.

The condition of the parts and bolts in your pictures does not show any care given to them either.

Im glad to hear nobody was hurt but I think you need to take better care of the part on your ride is all I am getting at. It is your car and not BC.

if you have gurantee ian then should be no prob, interesting to see result

As said 'not for road use' means not on the public road. Saying to replace the bolts is a good idea, but its not what you should have to do. If the bolts fail then 'they arent fit for use', and you should be able to apply for a refund, also you have more rights if you bought them over the internet 'distance selling act'.

Sending a nice email or phone conversation will get a much better reaction from them, they should supply you with new bolts or possibly a refund.

The only grey area I can see is the conditions of use that they build them for, although use on the roads will be less harsh than on a racetrack. I think they would be more concerned if they fail at the track as word of mouth would get around pretty quick.

Unfortunately saying what 'could' happen carries no weight. You can only be compensated for things that have happened. If my auntie had balls, she would be my uncle!!!

I think you have done the best option for now, arsey emails just get ignored. I think you will get some new bolts and an apology from them. See what they do, if you arent getting anywhere, then you can start turning the pressure up by mentioning that you use a internationally used forum that rates products, posts good and bad results from various parts from various companies, hinting that they will get bad press from it and possibly affect their reputation as a decent manufacturer.

Hope this helps,

Ben

Right I take back the above quote! I just changed my gearbox oil an hour ago and therefore checked my front BC camber arms while I was there and what do I have an - allen key bolt has sheared off on each side! Gutted!:angry2:

I have sent a txt to mr accessory zone who I got them from who has in turn phoned BC. he has confirmed I have a 1year warranty so I should hopefully get a refund or replacements. If I get replacements I will go with what
ek9turbo has said and get 12.9 grade bolts! thanks!

I had blox ones on my ek3 for 1.5 years and they were fine! but in future you would be best to buy hardrace, SPC, Eibach or Omni power ones. Thats what I'm gona do!

Scary that more and more people are having the same issue.

I'm not sending mine back because i need them for Germany in just over a week.

I've bought some new bolts they are 10mm longer than originals but i plan to put a half nut at the bottom and the split washer and flat washer in too.

20 bolts 2.95 plus postage.

The Original bolts are 10mm, max you need is 15mm but i'm adding a half nut aswell. So its your call really there plenty of room for 20mm.
