Anyone used ebay camber arms?

Did the first time. This time they worked loose and on my 1st lap of the ring my left wheel was floating about. I bough Hi tensile bolts after the first ones snapped how these worked loose i don't know. I checked them before i left for Germany.

Good to know since I want to drive my DC2 on the ring but it has BC camber arms :X Which bolts did you replace?

Yeh hardrace get good reviews. Could do with someone engineering some doc ones like you said. Dont tegiwa do a copy yet?

We do reverse engineering at work. I'm sure if there was enough interest I could borrow the equipment and replicate the SPC design, however it would still need manufacturing which is problematic/expensive.

well if buddyclub and skunk2 cant get there arms right i would hate to think how poor a pair of unbranded ebay items would fair up! :nerv:

Exactly, Buddyclubs are a pile of ****. They could of sent me into a lampost. I'd dread to think what the ebay one's must be like.

im tempted to just by a set of ebay ones and do some experimenting with them, see if i can come up with some locking device.
Although the idea of just high tensile steel bolts, spings and washer and once the camber is set a couple of spot welding in the correct place would probably do the trick.

As for the bushes, well the suppose there going to need polybushing.

I wouldn't worry about the actual metal properties of the camber arm itself as the way it works and positioning there isn't really any stress'es you need to worrie about. Standard grade steel with less that 0.6% carbon would be fine as the way there constructed.

Welding sounds like a good option, but would you not risk distortion?

there would be a possibility of distortion if you layed a big weld down, as you would be introducing high temperatures in one area. I would suggest small spots over layed with time for cooling between. As well as you don't want to heat the ball joint to much either.

The welds are only really there as a back up to stop any vibrations from allowing the bolts to loosen.Although it will give extra strength and support.

Does anyone know if the ball joint holes and the slots can be enlarged to allow bigger bolts?

yeah running front and rear ebay camber arms and no issues what so ever seem really solid
