Interested to hear some reviews from EK owners on these tyres if anyone has tried them?

Sounds like they would be worth the premium over GSD3s and T1Rs, but a worthy competitor to the RE010?

Currently seeing them at £87 for 195/50/15 from Nengun.

used theses tyres and in my opinion they are crap . go for yokohama parada spec2's .

last time i bought t1r's i was £30 + vat fitted

I've ridden both cars with parada and toyo T1R'S . I found that toyo t1r's have better cornering capabilities and parada have off the line grip.

both toyo t1r and yokohama parada are ****
toyo's have soft sidewalls i hate them !!
parada's melt like icecream and on the wet they are like icecubes !

i heard good things about r1r's
on my next change im on brigestone re01r if i find any or re11

Are you on about T1R or R1R? I have T1R now and not impressed with the grip limit on them, was thinking of getting a pair of R1Rs on the front.

Not had brilliant reviews on the Prada Spec 2s from my mates that I have them.

For the UK in Dry conditions i would go for Parada Spec 2's all day long mate

I had Proxes T1R and Hankook RS2's before these (Spec2's) and there better than both the Toyos and the Hankooks on street and track

So in answer to my question, no-one has tried the R1R yet?

Just to clarify, that is this tyre...

i know a fella that has them ona skyline with 700bhp and there **** hot, and i know who would have them in stock, southam tyres, they can get you anything, another tyre that i would recomend is the toyo px4s look very aggresive

PX4's Have to be some of the worst tyres iv ever used!

I have been meaning to try these " R1-R"s . As long as the sidewalls are stronger than the T1-R's then id expect these to be quite good tyres.

what did you think of these if you did run them kozy? readily available in u.k now, seem like a watered down version of ra1 though

I run them, I find them good but don't have any experience with other similar tyres to compare them to. Just a bit pricey at nearly £100 a corner, will probably try some RS2 next.

Get some Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 ,best street tire you can get period.
Camskill also sells them.

I haven't got round to them yet. I am still considering as my tarmac autest season draws closer though...

The AD08 sounds like a good bet though, they are getting good reviews everywhere I look!

Totaly agree with you mate, my mate on here "Bacon" is running PS2's and your right they melt like icecream, and like you say in the wet aswell they are like ice cubes, he hates them, just like the t1r's as my other mate "holy vtec" is running them on his DC2 and in the wet there shocking... but back too the original question, yes the R1R's are good tyres another one of mates on here "vtec abuser" is running them and there awesome.

I'm currently running the old pattern good year eagle F1's and i love them, before that i had Bridgestone RE01 R's both imo good tyres!

My friend is running them on his 260hp EP3 and finds them very good! The compound is nice and soft, and the sidewalls are a lot harder than the likes of the T1R.. but do bear in mind he runs a 40 profile on a 17" rim!

He's done 1 trackday and they were held out really good and in the wet they are probably one of the best tyres around.. not that you should be pushing it in the wet!

Also, they stock them in Demon Tweeks. :nice:

Josh..

but how do the R1r's perform against the triple8's? In performance and thread ware. Around my way if you have a set of 888's on the front they look at you as if your cheating lol. I find the 888's brilliant in off the line and track but thread ware on street is bad
