Anyone tried Toyo R1Rs yet?

but how do the R1r's perform against the triple8's? In performance and thread ware. Around my way if you have a set of 888's on the front they look at you as if your cheating lol. I find the 888's brilliant in off the line and track but thread ware on street is bad

Im not sure what mileage he has done so far, but they seem to be holding up well!

Up against performance, obviously the 888's are better for outright dry grip, but for good traction in the dry and also the wet I would highly recommend the R1R! Tread life will obviously be quite low but I wouldnt expect them to be as bad as the 888's as they come with a lot more from new and arnt quite as soft!

just caught up with this thread.... as readie pointed out im running the toyo R1R's. i think they are an amazing tyre. i did a whole day at snetterton in 28degree heat with them and they didnt burn out, and they stuck like glue. they are sooo much better that the T1R's and the parada's are just shite to put it bluntly, well they both are. these are the best tyres ive had for road and track use in both wet and dry. hope this helps ;)

Nice one Dunsy just convinced me 2 get pradas spec 2 mate! been trying 2 make my mind up which 2 get Toyo's, Hankooks or yoko pradas! will have 2 order 4 sometime this week!

hey boys...like mentioned on my dc2 im running t1r's and they really arent great, but on track i was following my bro with the r1r's on there and they they helped the car look really composed in the corners...they seemed 2 stick like glue.on the road they are good aswell, when ive bin in the car wit him they feel amazing...wet or dry.but in convo wit my bro's and we agreed that a tyre set up is pretty personal and totally depends on how u like 2 drive.wheeeyyyyyyy
