Anyone any intrest in an EM1 race car build?....

Made them myself. Ive spare lines and fittings if you need them......might swap you for something ;)

have you a swaging machine for crimp fittings?
While i was in westward eng, i got Martin to crimp them for me! But i have a full range of fittings and loads of braided line left. Ive done the other side from the fuel filter to the rail from them.
Are you looking for any?.....

not at the minute, but i wasn't aware those type fittings were used in ireland, i search high and low lowing for someone who could swage goodrich crimp fittings for me when i was building the green civic!!

Ah i see. I cant remember where i got them now, they were lying in a spare toolbox for years before i got around to actually doing something useful with them. It was only by chance that Martin crimped them for me, i just thought i'd ask and hey presto :)

Got all my suspension bits back this evening, so i'm gonna put them all back on tomorrow evening.
Just fitted the traction bar and looks really good :)
Also picked up a new FIA open faced helmet for racing next year, and I also got a set of headlights as ive recently found out that we have to run lights next year. Ive got a set of Blue HID's to go into them though, happy days :D
Will be ordering up 6 new Advan A048's very shortly.
Also going to do an oil change this week. Will be the first one since the new engine was tuned and only the third since the engine was built. Will be interesting to see what comes out!!
Also going to get one of these bad boys in the suppliers this week:

Think i'l mount it on the number plate recess on the bootlid.
:)
All going well, should have the whole car finished pretty shortly!!!!!

Good luck buddy, better get cracking with the work still left to do!

To me, it seemed to take extra long to finish up the loose ends on my project as track day kept on getting closer. Everything that could go wrong did, like me blowing the coil...lol

I changed my oil after the build like 5 times in 1000 miles. Oil filter relocation would have been nice at that time. lol

Ah its okay, i wont be doing it in my car, its the circuits own cars we will be using ;)
I know what your saying about things going wrong, ive managed to kink a brake line and crack the steering column collar so far :(
I think one of my mates has a callor but im going to spend the guts of another 150quid and plumb new internal brake lines with a bias adjuster. I dont want to take down the front subframe as thats one b1tch of a job to do!

Don't really need to crimp these lines, standard AN fittings will hold up to the pressure. I prefer to not use crimp fittings when possible, just looks cleaner.

Did a bit of modding to the camber arms to make them give a few more degrees camber.
You can see the new joints and polybushings.

Is that your civic in the BG? Thought it was not working yet.
EDIT: there is a sunroof on that one, not yours, sorry.

Yes that is mine, before i started to work on converting it ;)
Come a long way has'nt it!!

Ultra rare SkunkBuddy camber arms

The ball joints were f***ed in them when i got them and the price of buddyclub joints were rediculous so i just got skunk ones instead at a fraction of the price! Mind you there was a fair bit of intricate work getting them to fit properly.

are those joints likely to creep when cornering forces come on the top wish bone?

thats a very poor design, if you are having hassle with them i have conversion kits to modify standard honda arms which are 100% reliable you can get up to 3 mm camber per wish bone which is quiet alot.

Theyve already been tested in a twenty minute race (using slick tyres) and no creep occured.
Thats good enough for me i think :)
