Anyone any intrest in an EM1 race car build?....

Awesome Purchase, I want one of these but they aren't exactly Cheap!

"238wheelhp - 184lb/ft" :nice: Nice!
:D

I got mine from IPG-Parts in florida. Still waiting for it to arrive, but the way they packaged it etc, customs shouldnt be all that bothered charging me tax on it :D
Your the first one to notice i pasted those figures in there haha!

Any pic of dyno sheet? That's some power! Should go like stink out on the track:nice:

So after doing a lot of research and asking tama666 a sh1t load of questions, i decided to get me an ATI Race damper :nice:

The best, hands down. Watch your battery charge from time to time with the under-drive pulley. Mine is even smaller than yours, just hooked up a battery charger last night to top it off and noticed it was VERY low on charge. Note I have no base line on the battery charge prior to installing the ATI, the battery could have been low to start with. I am monitoring now. :)

So before you install your ATI; make sure your battery is new or in great condition and fully charged for a better baseline.

Oh yes, yours will be quick, you have 30 more horses under your hood over me, I think mine is a hand-full. I can only imagine what you will be feeling. You lucky man!

On what page can I find engine specs?

Nothing diclosed in detail, but you can go bcak through the pictures and updates in the thread and you should build up a pretty good idea yourself ;)
There are a few things i hav'nt mentioned that make a lot of difference...so im told.

I reckon the arms will be pulled off me altogether with no power steering, welded mounts and solid suspension

I to have no PS, its only a pain between 0 and 2mph after that, its perfect. Hard engine mounts just adds to the positive race car experience, power goes to the wheels and not into flexing the bushings. You will LOVE it. total response!

why are you not running power steering? I personaly think that is the stupidest thing anyone could do to a car!

savage progress man, love followin this build

@wooks it is a full on track only car so he has no need for power steerin

Dude, ur rude. What, did your "mommmy" forget to teach you manners?

Whats a full on track car got to do with removing the power steering? Ive driven a civic which had had the power steering removed, it was the worst car i have ever driven, the steering should be light enough so tiny corrections can be made when on the limit and yet still having enough feel so you know exactly how much grip you have etc, not so heavy you have to hang onto it! I still have the power steering on my rally car,and i garantee it would be un driveable on a stage without it.
It just seems to be the 'in thing' to remove it at the moment, each to there own.

You have never driven at the limit have you. It is a very different feel, not for everyone. But to hardcore racers, we prefer to have more feel than what a PS system can deliver and is why we opt for no PS. dig? Its actually a better feel of the road without it than with. I just got done with 5 25minute sessions on a road course at 3 miles per lap; no PS and I loved the feel.
