Anyone any intrest in an EM1 race car build?....

Alright Rob, yeah the oem prop valve is gone. That tilton adjustable bias valve beside the gear stick controls the rear brake pressure.
All the brake lines are fully braided throughout!

That's such a tidier looking job than the standard setup. Not sure if should do mine as it's worked good the way it is.

Theres a really tight pedal with this setup though. If your looking to just tidy up your bay a little more you could do something like this, extending the brake pipes and prop valve inside the cockpit:

Foolin about a bit with Paintshop a bit this evening. If it turns out like this i'l be well happy :)

Is that it just fitted in the middle below dash. Not sure what to do. Cars looking good by the way lol

just a question what was that thing you wrapped around the exhaust manifold back in page one and what does it do?

^^Heat wrap
Keeps the internal metal and exhaust gas temperatures that bit higher which aids with gas flow.
Also keeps engine bay temps and resulting intake temps lower.

Thanks but where do you get heat wrap and I've also seen something similar to heat wrap that they put around turbos. Is that a different type of heat wrap?what is it and where do you get it?

Not much to do now. Painting the new wings tomorrow and will assemble the front end next week.
A little bit of wiring to do and then thats it.
Theres a testing day at the end of January which im aiming to be out for.

You can get the heat wrap off e-bay or any good tuning shop should stock some.

This is a great build, not to crazy about the color thought, but other then that i love what you did.

... just had a night-mare with my oil sump, if have not read on my thread.
I strongly recommend a proper sump for your setup buddy. Not that expensive.

Have not had a chance to read much dude, hav been flat to the boards recently. Will see why in just a minute.
My sump is extended and baffled so should be well up to the job. I'l keep a close eye on temps and pressures during testing though ;)

So, been really busy over the last week or so.
Came across a bit of a brick wall when i noticed that one of the bleed nipples was siezed in the front caliper so am working on getting that out at the mo, but its a b1tch.
Got the whole front end including the wings.
Also took the headlights apart and inserts have been sprayed.
Also got wiring the rear fog and front headlights
So all in all, not much left to do.
I also got the final design for the car finished. Pics below. Should be vinyled up as soon as the front end is welded on.

As it stands now:

Plenty of good progress going on there :nice: so whats that material you made the front splitter out of?

Cheers :)
Splitter is made from fibreglass and ply-wood. A lot of work still to be done as there is sliders to be welded to the chassis legs and runners also needed on the splitter.
So the splitter should actually work at higher speeds by pulling the front of the car down for added grip. :)
