Absolutely fuming!

Car's in the bodyshop getting completely sorted so been waiting on parts for her.
The final peice i needed was my ek9 rear bumper and lip, they arrived this morning after the seller was very generous with payments!

The problem is one item hasn't arrived, which are my ek9 cup holders aparently they must have been split from my bumper but if they are not here before monday then another set will be sent out, fair enough.
The bumper and lip arrived and i was told they were in good condition was happy, opened it up and my bumper has 2 cracks, one small one but one big one! the lip also has like a hole cut-out on the bottom where the exhaust is, i am pretty sure the seller will see this thread but they reckon it is in good condition what do you guys think?

I am thinking it will get plastic welded but the big crack is actually nearly the whole length the lip covers and i am not running the lip for a while before i get a front one sorted. Going to bodyshop later to see what they reckon but honestly, i think i have been had!
 
That's a fairly sizeable chunk missing there!

Have you contacted the seller regarding this?

Cant really picture it from the ones you've posted.

But any cracks/splits/holes that werent mentioned prior to sale are not on!
 
I wouldn't be happy paying money for bits that arrive in such bad condition.

True, but I'd speak to the seller before hand, no point tarnishing someone's reputation if it was a genuine mistake/overlook.

Or maybe I'm too kind.....

I got screwed over with an exhaust I bought in February, STILL waiting on return payment of £300, and not heard from the seller since 12th march....now I'm contemplating naming and shaming

as josh said though best to contact the seller before naming and shaming..

The seller basically said used items are bound to be damaged as they are second hand, still waiting for my other package which aparently was sent with the bumper and lip, they said if it doesn't arrive by monday then they will send out another one.

I am unsure what to do about the lip right now, what do you guys think would be fair, get them to exchange it for a good condition one like was advertised?

Sounds more like a vendor/company than private individual....in which case YES, get them to replace it!

Not to be harsh but individuals sometimes get away with sh!t like this as they sell something, argue the toss or do a disappearing act, and there's not much you can do to stop them without paypal disputes etc.

Where as vendors etc make a living of the likes of us buying parts from them. If it is a vendor, and they want to maintain their reputation, I'm surprised they wouldn't offer to replace it straight away if they knew you weren't happy!!!!

And on the chance that I'm wrong, still be persistent, ask for a replacement or partial/whole refund if they don't have one. There's no excuse for false advertising goods. "good condition" isn't subjective, it means "good condition", not "used so has a few holes and cracks..." :angry:

Luckily i have brought my car to a really good bodyshop like 30 mie away from my house to get my car looking fresh but he said he can fix the cracks on the rear bumper :)

Well i just e-mailed them basically saying i hope to receive my ek9 push-out cupholders very soon and the lip that was sent to me be replaced by one i can actually use.

I wonder if theres anything any admins can do? Possibly drop one a PM?
I dont want to go straight to paypal unless i really have to and i don't want to name and shame them but if it does not get sorted out then i think i will have to, to warn the other members on here

By all means pm an admin on here mate, they are very helpful!

Like you said, don't name and shame until you have a definite answer from the seller, either yes they will replace it, or no they won't. If you start slagging people off, their incentive to act and replace it goes out the window pretty fast.
 
Like i will be honest, they were pleasant to deal with, very very helpful when it came to me paying them but i am just exceptionally dissapointed with the outcome and i just want it sorting really.
Any admin i should contact blinx, gavek9?

Any mate, they are all very helpful. I spoke to IJWhiteman, might be best to spread out the work load haha :p, give gavek9/Blinx a pm
 
I have PM'ed Blinx, not given the vendors name out though, thanks for your help josh!
 
Hope all goes well mate n they replace/refund you if they a company they should do this with no worries at all :)
