Alternative contact Number to contact Grant...

Cheers Guys.

Hope you get better Drift R, still remember your beauty of a EK9 you previously had :nice:

DriftR, dont worry about it buddy, there's absolutely no need to apologise!! Like I said when you told me about your mum before, a car is just a metal tub with wheels..... the most important thing is to concentrate on getting better. If the car is still around once you're in a position to buy then I'm more than happy to bring the car through to Dunfermline for you too, so no worries on that front either.

To everyone who is interested in the car... and I've had MASSIVE interest in the car (which I was expecting), however, as yet I've not had anyone trying to view etc.... and had a couple of low ball offers quoting the credit crunch and recession as the reason!! lol...

So I've decided rather than having the car sitting doing nothing in the garage..

I wanted to take the opportunity to book the car into the Jap Specialist that I have used to look after all my cars over the years to investigate the reason why its taking a few turns to fire into life. Its not very Honda-ish and I've never had it on any previous Hondas that I've owned, but it could well be due to the spec/compression, in which case, there is nothing that I can do and its just a characteristic of the car.... but if it requires a replacement part then I can get that done.

It may seem a bit crazy to book a car into a garage which I'm selling, but this is something which has niggled away and niggled away at me since I bought the thing and I'm curious to see if its a problem or something which comes with the territory on a car like this... on the upside, it gives the people who are keen on the car time to sell their cars or arrange the finances to buy the EK9 off me.

Obviously, the car is being fully checked over, so if any other bits of work are needing done (which I'm 99.9% sure they wont) then they will be addressed as well.

I don't think I can put potential buyers mind at rest more than I am doing?! Haha :)

Cheers,
Grant

Has this Sold or has the owner left the Country?

No replies to E-mails, Calls Etc...

im pretty devastated, not only have i been kept in hospital until next week, iv also been told that il have to take a very relaxed approach to driving and just life in general for a couple of months after this.. which when i told them about my car lifestyle iv been told iv to stick to my wee ford puma runabout as much as possible.

im actualy so annoyed right now, and im pretty weak too, not used any muscles for 2 weeks, starting to take the odd walk with the physios up n down the ward corridor and my legs are like jelly!!

no gaurantees when il be ready

im on a bit of a downer right now, perfect leading up to xmas :( :( :( :( i love this car!

Small update on things... the car has been fully checked over, everything is in order, no fault codes being thrown up by the Hondata and all values and readings coming from the car are spot on.

So...

...looks like the slightly lazy starting is down to the distributor, so I've emailed and phoned Tegiwa Imports to see when they can get a replacement up to me. Fingers crossed that it'll be ready to rock and roll for its new owner (whoever that is!!) sometime soon. :)

Sorry for the lack of contact and responses to all the PMs and Emails that I've been getting, but until the car is back in my position, I'm not wanting to try to arrange viewings etc because its sods law that if something is arranged, a spanner will be thrown into the works and the arrangement will go tits up, haha.

I know its dragging on a wee bit of people who are interested and I appreciate your patience, I know its difficult to wait when you've got money burning a hole in your pocket!! I'm crap at waiting for things I want, so I feel your pain!!

DriftR, no worries buddy, gotta go with what the experts are recommending mate.. they know what is best for you, even if its not what you wanna hear!! :)

Cheers,
Grant

Hiya people just registerd so I can talk to grant about the car. I'm reli reli interested in buy the car if we can *** to an arangment. I dnt no wether he wants just cash or wether he wud consider swapping with mine ill have to wait and have a chat with him.

Small update... still waiting for contact from Tegiwa Imports (anyone on here knows them or is speaking to them could you point them to their email, voicemail and PM box then I'd be very grateful) for a price on a Distributor.

Once I get that price (providing its not a total pisstake) I'll get it ordered up, delivered to the garage, fitted.. everything will run sweet as a nut again, it'll fire into life within half a turn of the starter and the car will be available for viewings!!

I do appreciate that this is dragging on and thank those interested for their patience... believe me, I'd rather have the car away to a home which will appreciate it than sitting in a garage corner looking sorry for itself. If you want the car asap and source the dizzy yourself then thats fine, I can adjust the price, but I'm pretty sure people will rather buy a car that they can drive away in!!

To answer you djnova89, I'm really not looking for something in part exchange, certainly not another TypeR.. as I'm needing something which will eat up boring motorway mileage without any hassle buddy.

Cheers,
Grant

hiya grant i have a 2002 mini cooper s in metalic electiric blue with white roof and stripes fully loaded all the extras (climate control, semi bucket blue/black leather seats, 17" white lightend alloys by bmw, parking sensors, self washing head lights, uprated front fogs, bmw rear clear lights ( got the reflectors in the bumper to make it legal), chilli pack whitch means slightly lower an harder suspension for better handling) its just gone to 36,000 miles full service history still got 9000 miles till next service. its in mint condition just a few tiny tiny scratches around the bonnet area but the wud come out easily. it covers motorway miles without a problem as i have to travel to nottingham from birmingham once a month to take the mrs to see her mom lol it hasnt done alot of motorway miles but i no its not a problem an is very cumfy. its very quick an pulls unbelivebly being supercharged it never runs out of power through the hole rev range an the power is there whenever u want it. i seen u said u borrow ur mrs mini an was just wondering if u wud be interested in swapping?

Brilliant news Stuarty... really appreciate that!! :nice:

Another update... it took a while to get a dizzy sent up, unfortunately, the garage is now closed for Christmas and New Year with my car sat inside it. To say I'm annoyed is an understatement.

All things going well, the car will be available for viewings the weekend after the 4th January when the garage re-opens. Sorry to throw more bad news out there guys, like I said, I'm pretty pissed off that people who are interested in the car are going to have to wait another couple of weeks before being able to view/buy... but my hands are tied unfortunately, nothing further I can do about this until the New Year passes. :(

Cheers,
Grant

ohh....thats why i got no reply.

must be a bugger having it locked up away from you :nono:

well could you reply to my pm please when you get a chance,i know there will be no viewings for while as you stated :nice:

Right... finally... the car is running spot on, got the distributor supplied by Tegiwa and fitted by Checkpoint. They called today to say the car is ready to collect. However, due to work, the earliest I'll be able to collect the car is on Saturday. So once I've got it home and given it a wash and clean up from sitting in the garage the past few weeks, it will be available for viewing from Sunday onwards. :nice:

I'm catching up with PM's again, so bear with me, I will get back to you... it might just take a bit of time to sort through them all. :nice:

Cheers,
Grant
