My Dyno Results...

How do you mean what sort of rollers mate?

the make of them just bud,you prob dont know but just nice to know what
sort,im just nosey!
some companys use the "dynapac" set-up which connect straight to your
hubs(wheels off etc).
meant to be acurate but ive been on enough rolling roads to make me think
they are anything but that.

anyway less of the waffling :blabla:

must be a sharp "9" you have bud....

enjoy it :win:

It was Dastek fixed Dyno i was at, its a 2wd and 4wd Rolling Road, alot of places use Dastek built Dynos

im not sure mate, doubt steven would come all this way for a dyno run...i may well be wrong though!

Awesome figures, ;) you should be proud mate...

Makes me wanna dyno my EK9 once i get the manifold and Hondata ECU,

p.s STEVENEK9 on here produced about same as yours about a year ago at Dastek :)

No bad...should make our battle at knockhill in two weeks even more interesting

thats awesome figures makes me believe mine more now (there in my sig) :D well done dude

Nice one!

My friend had bought an old stock dc2r and the engine was running very bad, no power. Could be same situation with ur mates dc2. My car also pulls harder and faster than a stock s2000.

Dunsy. Read the stroked b16b thread, a gd way to check if it's been stroked or not :)

yeah i read that mate thanks :)

i cant see it being stroked though as it was on OEM EK9 ECU when it came over and now its on an EK9 spoon ECU for the B16b, if it was stroked would this not be causing it problems?

if the engine had been stroked whilst in japan i would have thought that they would have done other better mods to get it all working well together. This is in referance to my car as it had a standard b pipe and a rubbish no make induction but could be applied to yours too if it came over standard.

i havnt checked my ecu i will do soon though im not sure about sticking a rod down the spark plug hole as im not a mechanical person!

drive a dc2, youll know straight away if stroked, b18c and b16b are individually distinctive engines

odd b16b are freaky and can make the quoted 185bhp so with selction of few careful breathing mods 194 isnt impossible, dyno vary so much and just a tuning tool

i dont think it is stroked

i just think its a strong B16b

I think your spot on there. All dyno's read different so theres no point focusing on the figure and trying to fathom it out or explain why its high/low etc etc. A different dyno on a different day will read differently so relax, bathe in your glory and enjoy :nice:

Never had my EK9 dyno'd when I had it but it could keep with my friends b18c civic saloon so I think its not uncommon to get a good strong b16b engines just like some b18c's are faster then others. If the car feels good to you and you have been in others to compare then regardless of the figures it must be a strong engine:nice:

the only difference is really the fuelling (correct me if i'm wrong), all v-tec's run rich standard so a 1.6 ecu in a 1.8 should only make the car run more lean, my mate has just put a high comp b18 in his eg civic and he's running it on a b16a2 ecu as a temporary measure untill he gets hondata and it runs absolutely fine on 98ron fuel.
my ek9 that i believe to be stroked came with a standard b16b ecu and an apexi vtec fc

all i can say is that those figures are very similar to a b18

excellent results though:nice:
