If anyone want more pics let me know.(sorry my pics are shocking)

What you think is it real??

Thank just what I wanted to hear :D I've always liked these but couldn't justify the price tag. I just had to check this because I don't usually get lucky :)

The fake ones i have seen have all had 7 Cross stitches on the shoulder straps whereas real ones have 3 like yours!

I got it for like half what they normally go for (still nearly enough to buy a non jdm item :p) Yeah it has the corrcect number of crosses correct shape eyebolt clips correct box correct paper work so seems a lucky buy.

Yeah I know, Look at the 'Takata' difference's though, Its almost like a different font.

I know ICB motorsport sell them genuine, Ive imported a few from them myself.

3 stich's is a bit weird though, Ive never seem that before.

Ive always gone via the thread you posted mate +

Im no expert on this but looking at yours seems to lack visual quality over the "known" real ones.

Im not saying yours is fake im just saying what i can see. Something doesnt look quite right.

Thanks for the help and advice I'm not gonna be too suprised if somethings not right but I am going to be kinda dissapointed. Its slightly worring how close the replica's are getting to the genuine items. Keep suggestions coming guys will help me decide what I'm gonna do and possible keep people safer.

Plain annoying that this harness wont fit into either a fake or genuine catagory.

visually as said before it looks a bit rough but in other pics it looks legit , I bought mine second hand ,wouldnt pay the silly money.

the cam lock is an odd colour

also genuine harness's have 4 cross stitches like so

Seller said it had been bought but never fitted couldn't tell me if it was genuine so that was one thing that made me suspect it could be fake.

Perhaps this should be made into a thread about spotting this harness as well as no one seems to have seen it before.

Any suggestions about what I should do now? I know I can't return it and it was the gamble I took anyway.

Would people feel safe wearing a harness that is a replica?
Even though i've bought it I dont think I'll put it in. I will wait till I can afford a new one now.

100% fake i'm afraid

3 cross stitches rather than 4, also the buckle on genuine ones is silver and yours seems to have an off tinge to it (already mentioned I know)

PERSONALLY I wouldn't run it, just purely since it probably won't have been through the same testing as a genuine harness, don't ant to scrimp with safety equipment :((

Thanks steven,

Yup my feeling exactly main reason I started this thread as I said on first post all that saves you from going through the screen. I value my own safety and that of others so please everyone if your buying a harness from someone check the crosses and the camlock very closely there are more than one style of fake going around. This harness will not be used in my car and I wouldn't feel happy selling it on to someone else to drive with either.

I may consider attaching it to a gaming chair for some hard core Gran Turismo or Grid though :p
