Will my engine run on standard ecu??

Lol, just try starting it and see what happens. If it sounds pretty smooth then let it warm up to operating temperature whilst you check for leaks and problems. Your not running stupidly big injectors over stock any way. I think stock are 240cc and yours are 310cc

Still lost I know nothing at all about mapping or fuel tables or anything like that

its ok to be lost...i still am...but I was born that way. lol. I too am looking at ITB's but I am still reading up on them. Touchy mod from what I can tell, but once they are setup correctly, your golden!

Starting your engine for a short period 30-60 seconds to check oil pressure and any leaks should be fine.

Don't worry about it mate, leave all that to your tuner. Just start the car up with everything hooked up and report back.

Also what are the lenghts and diameters of those throttle bodies ?

Just didn't want to f*#k anything up as I've spent a small fortune.

Think what I'll do is....
Leave every thing as it is now 4 vac feeds iacv all in place remove plugs and disconnect dizzy and crank it to check oil pressure comes up and for leaks.
Would I be ok to keep cranking itlike that to run the new piston rings in a bit??

If all that goes smoothly I'll put plugs back in and reconect dizzy and just wait for my new ecu to come and then take it to tuners and let them source and or sort any probs good idea???

They are 45mm at butterfly and aprox 210-230mm from head to tip of trumpet not sure exactly without measuring them. Why? Not more problems! lol

Lol, you need to calm your mind mate.

If thats what you feel best doing then do it. You will not bed your rings in cranking it over like that. They get bedded in when load is put on the engine. Honestly mate, just do what ever feels right to you and don't stress. I'm sure you'll be happy in the end :)

Nothing wrong in them at all. Are you chasing top end power ?

I would hook everything up as planned to just turn it over for checking oil pressure and leaks for 30-60 seconds. but this is my feeling as I have enough knowledge and experience. But is this, starting it up, even needed at this stage, to test for leaks? Not really from what I can gather.

Now if you are freaking out about damage to your investment, then wait till your tuner can aid you in getting this running. This forum can not help with how your feelings about a complex setup, because its complex as you can see and read. A good tuner will get this all sorted out for you, be patient.

Spot on:nice:

As I was trying to say - there's precious little that you can do wrong with a start-up like this with your current set-up, the injectors can't squirt massive amounts of fuel and the ignition will be pretty much okay.
Even if it is off by, say 50% on the fuel, and 20degrees on the ignition, in a minute or two's running you'll not damage your engine.
I always start an engine over rich, you can check your ignition with a timing light.

Exactly, at the worst case it'll run like crap or not start.

I kind of feel sorry for this guy as i bet his head is all over the place thanks to this thread lol.

Anyway good luck with it and i hope it works out well. You have a really nice setup and i'm looking forward to seeing more pic's, video's and the results :nice: .

Well that's the problem with posting threads like this on a forum to many mixed opinions. My advise would be talk to your tuner i'm sure he can best advise you on any questions you have.
